Dota 2 Patch 7.41d has dropped right in the middle of the BLAST Slam VII playoffs and, despite the small adjustments, it might interfere with the current meta heading into the Esports World Cup.

Let's take a look at the heroes that got small but significant buffs and that might pop up in the tournament as a sign of a new meta.

Patch 7.41d will shake things a bit more on BLAST Slam VII.

Five Biggest Winners of Dota 2 Patch 7.41d

Ancient Apparition

Ancient Apparition got a couple significative buffs right before the EWC.

Right at the top of the list, Ancient Apparition got a couple of buffs that stand out on a list of short adjustments. Cold Feet now deals 5 extra damage per second across all levels, and Chilling Touch had its cooldown decreased and its damage increased.

If you're playing support to get some tokens, you might want to consider checking him out. So far, he has only been drafted once during the BLAST Slam VII and won the match he was in, but things might change after the update.

Brewmaster

Would be nice to have the old Brewmaster midlane meta back in China.

Mangix, the Brewmaster, also got some small buffs that could bump him into the meta. The first one was a small increase to his Aghanim's Shard, increasing the max HP regen per second from 2.5% to 3%. His Thunder Clap's slow duration also got a small increase from 4s to 4/4.25/4.5/4.75s.

On the other hand, he took some minor nerfs to his level 10 talent, reducing his brewlings' base damage bonus by 1, and to his level 20 talent, which now reduces his Primal Split's cooldown by 12 seconds instead of 15. He was drafted twice during the tournament, won one match, and lost the other.

Mirana

Mirana might find her way into the meta after these buffs. Keep an eye on her.

The Princess of the Moon also had a couple of buffs, affecting her innate and her main source of magical damage. Celestial Quiver now has its max charges increased from 2 + 1 per 7 levels to 2 + 1 per 6 levels. This means she gets one extra charge at level 30 and extra charges one level earlier on each cycle.

She also had a small buff to Starstorm, as the second meteor now deals 80% of the original damage instead of 70%. Mirana was picked twice throughout the tournament and won both her matches, which means she might be on the verge of making it into the meta.

Morphling

Morphling has earned some extra attribute points after the new update.

Morphling got a small attribute gain overall after getting his base strength decreased from 23 to 16 and his base agility increased from 24 to 33. This means that he lost 7 strength and earned 9 agility. When we consider that you can Attribute Shift either way, Morph earned 2 free attribute points.

He was neither picked nor banned during the BLAST Slam VII and might show up again, but could be counterpicked when we consider that Ancient Apparition was also blessed on IceFrog's list of changes.

Nature's Prophet

More tree power equals more Nature's Prophet impact all over the game.

Finally, Nature's Prophet, got a small but significant buff. Now, treants that are alive always contribute to the bonus damage, even if they are out of range. This means that they will be helping you with extra damage even if you're using them to push another lane or to farm neutral camps.

He also got a small buff to his level 20 talent. Sprout damage was increased from +220 to +240, which might be a nice situational damage bump. Nature's Prophet was picked in 6 matches, won 4, and lost 2, getting a very encouraging 66.67% win rate so far.

Closing Thoughts

Small buffs and nerfs will not shake the meta like a full update would, but they might balance things just enough for some heroes to resurface. Give them a try in your pubs and, with some luck, you might find a way to stay ahead of the meta and get some extra MMR points.
