Patch 7.38 introduced a new mechanic to the Dota 2 world. Artifacts and enhancements replaced the old Neutral item system. Players can now craft their unique Dota 2 artifacts with active abilities, and pick suitable passive enhancements.

The new system is not fully balanced yet and some Artifacts are significantly stronger than others. In this article, we'll be taking a look at the best choice for each tier, along with the best enhancement combo for it.

Best Dota 2 Artifacts and Enhancements for Patch 7.38b

Mystical Mana Draught

It's all about mana in the early game and that is why Mana Draught is the best option. It has low cooldown, restores a solid amount of mana, and can be used to help allies. Players often pair it with Mystical for even more mana regeneration.

With more sustain, players can stay on the map longer, farm faster with spells, and always be ready for skirmishes. We recommend either Mana Draught or Trusty Shovel whenever you have that option.

Vast Orb of Destruction

At the 15-minute mark, players are opting for as much damage as possible and Orb of Destruction provides plenty of that. A 3-second slow that reduces armor and works with Orb of Corrosion is incredibly powerful. The extra attack range from Vast is especially useful for melee cores who can't always get on top of opponents.

If Orb of Corrosion isn't an option, then the best alternative is Vampiric Brigand's Blade. We like Blade, but it requires enemies to be near death to reach maximum effectiveness, so it's not the best option for bursting down opponents.

Mystical Nemesis Curse

Damage continues to be the name of the game at tier three. Nemesis Curse's Glassify is incredibly powerful, adding 12% more damage to the whole team. There is simply no better option for hurting people, apart from Serrated Shiv but that only buffs the wielder, not the entire lineup.

Mana regeneration isn't a big factor 25-minutes in the match. But magic damage is always a problem and Mystical comes with 14% resistance. It's not exactly a Cloak but it's close and doesn't take a slot in your inventory.

Quickened Ceremonial Robe

The best Dota 2 artifact at tier four is Ceremonial Robe. Like Nemesis Curse, it's a team-wide buff but this time it can affect multiple enemies. More damage and longer debuffs are a nightmare, especially when the game hits that 40+ minute mark., when Black King Bar charges are low.

Frankly, it's a little surprising to see Quickened valued so highly in the late-game. The extra mana is pointless but 30 movement speed is always good, no matter what hero or role you're playing.

Evolved Stygian Desolator

Chaos Knight is a premium carry pick now.

We don't see many tier five Dota 2 artifacts but when we do the best option to take is Stygian Desolator. At least for cores.

Taking away 13 armor from enemies is absurd. We've mentioned bursting opponents down and 13 armor goes a long way to melting their armor and lives.

And if you want to add more damage on top of that, you take Evolved for an extra 40 main stat. That also gives agility heroes 40 attack speed, while strength cores benefit from a huge buff to their health pools.

The Dota 2 artifacts mentioned above have the highest winrate in patch 7.38b. However, don't be afraid to deviate when they don't suit your playstyle or game situation. A big part to becoming a better player is adapting, so be sure to pick the best options that suit you! Be sure to check Nyx for more info on other Dota 2 artifacts and enhancements.
