Team Korea Crushes USA in Evaluation Match for Asian Games 2026

On the first day of the Asian Games' League of Legends National Team Evaluation Matches, Team Korea secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Team USA. All three games finished around the 20-minute mark, highlighting the significant gap between the two teams.

In the friendly match between Team Korea and Team USA ahead of the start of the 2026 Asian Games, the difference in experience and level was evident. All three matches ended around the 20-minute mark.

In the third game, Team USA managed to get some early advantage, but they were still unable to overcome Team Korea's lineup featuring five former Worlds Champions. 

While Korean players are widely regarded as among the best in the world when it comes to League of Legends, it is also important to note that Team USA's roster is primarily made up of Tier 2 players.

The event was also marked by the appearance of Kim "Deft" Hyu-kyu, a former World Champion who is currently completing his mandatory military service. He was appointed as power analyst for the Korean national team.

No Faker as Team Korea Begins Its 2026 Asian Games Campaign

The first match was marked by the absence of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, the most prominent League of Legends players in the world.

Although Faker was present at the event, he did not feature in the starting lineup, with Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo stepping in for him in the mid lane.

Team Korea's next friendly match is scheduled for September 20 against Team Vietnam.

All matches will be streamed exclusively on Disney+, although the broadcast will not be available in all regions.
