After EDward Gaming created history by securing the VALORANT Champions 2024 Grand Finals, we witnessed two of the best teams of the year take on each other with the Lower Finals series on the line.

Team Heretics 2 - 1 Sentinels

The battle of two giants started on Haven, with Sentinels securing an early four-round lead on their map pick, closing the half 7-5. TenZ’s strong performance and multiple multikill rounds helped Sentinels capitalize on the two-round lead and convert it to a 13-8 win.

Icebox was a similar back and forth, with the first half concluding with another 7- 5 in Sentinels’ favor. But Team Heretics’ defense helped them completely shut down Sentinels’ attack to win the map 13-9, forcing Abyss.

Team Heretics outclassed Sentinels in the first half of the map. Whilst Sentinels did show signs of life towards the end of the first half and start of the second, Team Heretics were always a step ahead, winning the final map 13-7.

With the win, Team Heretics eliminate Sentinels from VALORANT Champions 2024. They will now face Leviatan in the Lower Finals.
