Sumail's debut on Team Aster had everyone by surprise at The Berlin Major. Despite the concerns regarding communications, the King performed marvellously at The Berlin Major, and Team Aster secured a 7th-8th finish, falling short against Team Liquid. Sumail showcased much of his untapped potential from Nigma Galaxy during his short time at Team Aster. Regaining his former glory, the king made an unpredictable move to Team Aster and left Nigma Galaxy before the start of the DPC Summer Tour.

Emperor Xiu Mail

Fans quickly gave a new nickname to the king as he switched regions, renaming him Emperor Xiu Mail. However, despite his strong performance with the team at The Berlin Major, fans were dubious of the switch. Sumail quickly silenced his doubters, securing two clean sweeps in his first two series with the team.

He played his debut match against Piggy Killers shortly after he arrived in the region. In game 1, the emperor dominated the game with his midlane Timbersaw going 13 kills and undead. In game 2, he showcased his marvellous skills on midlane Void Spirit, securing the 2-0 sweep for Team Aster.

Their next series was against Azure Ray. The team features an all-star roster, mostly of 2018 PSG.LGD. However, the emperor did not flinch. Playing the long-lost Winter Wyvern midlane, Sumail wreaks havoc on Azure Ray. In game 2, despite losing the laning stage, Sumail dominated the game with his signature hero, Storm Spirit. Even though it was against Somnus, one of the legendary midlaner from China, Sumail didn’t flinch and secured another clean 2-0 for his team.

The Chemistry

At the post-match interview, Sumail stated that the language barrier was overrated. He also said he joined Team Aster because the chemistry between the team was terrific. He also explained how he communicates with the team. Sumail mainly developed his career in North America. He switched to Europe, joining OG in 2020 shortly before the lockdown.  Although he planned to join Team Aster before the lockdown, it didn't happen at the time. However, the plan all came together before The Berlin Major. With Sumail on their side, Team Aster is looking to secure their ticket to The International 2023.
