Team Liquid is riding high at EWC. They are the only undefeated team in the group stage, with a clean 4-0 score. They are set for a spot in phase three of the playoffs.

After taking down their rivals Parivision on day two, Liquid's offlaner Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek shared some harsh words towards their foes, along with thoughts on the offlane meta.

It's unclear why Parivision and Team Liquid don't get along well or what started the issue between the two teams. It might all be good natured for all we know.

Publicly though, the two squads have exchanged some fairly harsh words in the past. Recently Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin called Team Liquid "Bots" at the grand final of Fissure Universe episode 5.

After taking Parivision down in EWC and with a current record of seven victories in a row for Liquid, SabeRLight clapped back at Dukalis and his team.

"7-0. I don't know I mean. But still bot, I guess. Still bot. But let's make it even more. Hopefully, they don't get knocked out too fast this tournament so we can beat them again and make it 9-0."

When asked about the current offlane meta, SabeRLight noted that due to the patch being relatively new, there isn't a clearly defined way to play offlane. So far everyone is making it up as they go along.

"I feel like people are just picking whatever they want. I see a lot of offlaners doing different things. Some people go auras. The meta is not really figured out and everybody's just kind of doing their thing."

Liquid's second game against Parivsion was their longest one yet at EWC. While they were ahead the entire match, they were worried about the enemy Phantom Lancer.

That is, until someone on Liquid made a very astute observation.

"To be honest, I was very worried this game. I did not win lane against PL, which is how you usually shut him down. But we're not touching this guy at all. So I was a bit worried but Boxi, the genius of Liquid, said "Guys, we buy four BKB, they have no cancel and game is un-losable" and we play for our timings."

The plan worked perfectly and Liquid has yet to drop a game yet at EWC. It'll be fascinating to see how long they can keep their streak going at Riyadh.
