After four long days of Dota, the Riyadh Masters groups end. The last day was especially intense, with three teams from both groups having the same score. A series of tie-breakers had to decide which team was getting eliminated. But before the tie-breakers could start, two teams from Group A were already eliminated.

  • Xtreme Gaming
  • OG

Evil Geniuses vs. Xtreme Gaming

EG was able to 2-0 XG, but it was not an easy task. Xtreme Gaming put up a good fight and managed to drag EG into the late game. XG tried the offlane Meepo once again, but it was not enough to beat EG. Matthew dominated Game 1 with his KOTL, getting 10 kills, the highest in his team.

Gaimin Gladiators vs. OG

The Gladiators knocked out OG from the Riyadh Masters. A quick 2-0 victory shortened OG's last day. After Quinn had a bad start to Game 1, GG slowed down the pace of the game, giving time for their cores to get strong. In Game 2, Quinn went crazy on his Pangolier, claiming 14 out of 27 kills. With OG having no time to react to the Gladiators' pace, they tapped out at 18 minutes in Game 2, ending their run at the Riyadh Masters.

Tie-Breakers

9Pandas Move to Upper Bracket

The Group A tie-breakers were between EG, PSG.LGD and 9Pandas for a spot in the Upper Bracket. The remaining two teams will move to Lower Bracket in the Playoffs. RAMZES666 laid waste to both teams while playing his Juggernaut, getting a clean win in the tie-breakers. Solo & kiyotaka's item builds also proved crucial in both games, making it hard for the enemy to kill them or their team.

Tundra shuts down the NA region

The Group B tie-breakers were between Tundra, TSM, and Shopify Rebellion. It was a sad day for Arteezy fans and also for NA Dota. TSM beat Shopify, but Tundra Esports was a much stronger team than expected. We all know that slow games always favor Tundra, and that's what they did against TSM. Aui_2000 did a remarkable job of not allowing the enemy to take objectives in both games.

Shopify seemed clueless against Tundra. They managed to isolate Arteezy in team fights and burst him down. 33's Broodmother was too strong for Shopify to fight into him, letting him take towers as he saw fit.

With Tundra winning against TSM & Shopify, they moved to the lower bracket while the other two were eliminated.

Playoffs

The playoffs are starting today at 10:00 am CET. The first series is Quest Esports vs. Talon Esports. Both teams are incredibly skilled, but currently, Quest seems a bit stronger. Altogether it will be an exciting series to start the day off.
