Russian CS2 sensation Danil "donk" Kryshkovets has etched his name into the record books by breaking the long-standing record for the most aces at a Major. The young star’s incredible performance at the Perfect World Shanghai Major propelled Team Spirit to victory. And cemented his status as one of the most electrifying talents in the competitive scene.

Setting the Record in Shanghai

Donk’s four aces during the Shanghai Major broke the previous record held by Egor "flamie" Vasilyev. Flamie achieved three aces at IEM Katowice 2019 while playing for Natus Vincere. The record-breaking Fourth Ace came during Team Spirit’s intense grand final win over FaZe Clan. His consistency and flair on the server earned him the tournament’s MVP title. Along with cementing himself as a dominant force in the game.

With his stellar Shanghai campaign, donk also tied Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev’s Big Event ace record. S1mple achieved four aces during IEM Cologne 2021, another monumental event in CS:GO history. Now sharing this honor with one of the game’s greatest, donk has firmly planted himself among Counter-Strike’s elite.

Aces That Shaped the Major

Donk’s four aces at the event highlighted his versatility and poise in high-stakes situations:

  • Swiss Round 4 vs Heroic on Mirage: Donk dismantled Heroic’s A-site defense with a surgical AK-47 spree, eliminating all five players in a show of raw mechanical skill. (Credits: @DobryCover)

  • Quarterfinal vs Team Liquid on Anubis: Donk’s second ace came on B-long, where he eliminated four Liquid players in quick succession after dispatching Yekindar in connector. (Credits: @alekro3950)

  • Later in the same match, donk rushes forward with nothing but a Glock in hand, hitting some ridiculous shots. And gets his second Ace of the game. (Credits: @HenkkkaZ)

  • Grand Final vs FaZe Clan on Ancient: Armed with a saved rifle from teammate magixx, donk, with a little help from his teammates, brought back the round and orchestrated a breathtaking 1v2 clutch to complete his ace. (Credits: @pentaknights6760)

A Phenomenon in the Making

Donk’s record-breaking achievement and MVP performance underscore his immense potential. As Team Spirit continues to rise, donk’s unmatched skill and composure in high-pressure scenarios make him a player to watch in the years to come. The Perfect World Shanghai Major was just the beginning of what promises to be a legendary career.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
