Day 3 of  The Lima Major had concluded with some regions stepping up to the challenge. Day 3 was filled with dramatic upsets as teams held nothing back to earn their well deserved-slot a the upper brackets. It was also surprising for most fans as they saw the current Ti champions get 2-0ed by two different teams from two regions. They are at risk of elimination if they can’t find a win soon.

The Matches

The first match of day 3 came as a surprise when PSG.LGD 2-0ed Tundra. The first match was a close match between PSG.LGD and Tundra but in game 2 PSG.LGD completely demolish the current Ti Champions taking two games off against them.

The second series was between EHOME and the favourites  Evil Geniuses. EG dominated EHOME in game 1, but game 2 was more intense. It ended up going the way of EHOME after 48 minutes.

The match between Talon Esports and Team Spirit was also long series that eventually became a 1-1 tie. Game 1 lasted for nearly an hour before Talon closed out the game. In game 2, the former Ti champions stomped Talon in a 37 minutes game with a score of 8-27.

The series between Excretion and TSM concluded with a 1-1 tie. In the controversial series between Beastcoast and Knights, Beatcoast secured a 2-0 victory. HellRaisers came out on top with a quick 2-0 over their resilient rivals BetBoom Team. HellRaisers also got another 2-0 in their series against Team Aster.

The series between Team Aster and Entity concluded with a 1-1 tie. Even though Geek Slate managed to take a match against Shopify Rebellion, Shopify Rebellion managed to stomp back in game 2 to end the series with a 1-1 tie. Shopify Rebellion got another 1-1 draw in their series against Knights.

Geek Slate also managed to get a 1-1 draw in their series against Team Liquid. Talon Esports also got another tie in their series against PSG.LGD. TSM managed to get a 2-0 victory against EHOME.

Evil Geniuses took a clean sweep in their series against the current Ti champions Tundra Esports. Although the first match went over an hour with EG closing out the game, EG completely stomped Tundra in game 2 and closed the game out in 39 minutes with a score of 30-10.  The last series of the day was Beastcoast against Entity. It ended with a 1-1 tie.
