BTS members Jin and Jimin spent Tuesday (October 27) at the training facility of Brazilian esports organization LOUD in São Paulo, playing League of Legends. The two singers used a day off from their tour in Brazil to queue for ranked games, enjoy a barbecue and explore the facility, away from the public eye.

The visit came to light when Victor “Coringa,” a Brazilian streamer and LOUD co-owner, shared the behind-the-scenes story during a livestream. It involved a childhood friendship, PCs configured in Korean and even a fake pest-control closure to keep the guests' presence under wraps.

Jin Arrived at LOUD's Training Facility Before Coringa

Coringa received a call from Bruno “PH” Bittencourt, a LOUD co-founder and co-owner, asking him to come to the facility around 2 PM. When he arrived at 2:08 PM, he was in for a surprise: one of the BTS members was already waiting in the hallway.

“As soon as I walk through the gate, there's this really sick car parked there. It's 2:08. Then, as we keep going down this little hallway, who do I run into? A guy named Jin. [...] He and, I think, his manager were just standing quietly in the hallway. [...] So I went up to say hi, like, 'Hey, how's it going?' 'Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Jin.' [...] The guy showed up at exactly 2 PM, on his day off in Brazil.”

PH had arranged a barbecue for the visitors and made the facility available to them. At around 3 PM, while waiting for Jimin to arrive, Jin decided to spend some time on LOUD's gaming PCs.

“It was after three in the afternoon, and he said he was waiting for one more person to arrive. [...] Then they asked, 'Can we go upstairs and start playing?' They were asking PH, right? And PH was like, 'Of course, man, the place is yours.' He set up the PC and switched everything to Korean so they'd feel comfortable. [...] He said, 'Well, I'm not doing anything, so I'll start playing.' He went upstairs and started playing LoL, you know? Queued up for ranked on the Brazilian server, man.”

Coringa was struck by how casually the singer was spending his day off. Jin was playing on Brazil's League of Legends server at a local esports training facility while waiting for his bandmate.

How Did BTS End Up at LOUD's Training Facility?

Curious about how LOUD had managed to host the singers, Coringa asked PH who had arranged the visit. The answer revealed a personal connection between BTS and the organization's League of Legends coaching staff.

“I was just thinking, 'Holy shit, man, what a random situation. Jin is playing LoL with his manager at LOUD's training facility at three in the afternoon.' [...] So I went and asked, 'PH, how did this happen?' [...] The LoL team's coach went to the same school as the BTS members. They've been friends since childhood.”

The coach in question is Oh “Raise” Ji-hwan, who coaches LOUD's League of Legends team. According to Coringa, Raise has been friends with members of BTS since childhood and helped arrange their visit.

With the group in Brazil for a series of concerts, Raise offered the training facility as a place for the singers to play games and relax on their day off. PH handled the arrangements, including the barbecue and gaming setups.

LOUD Used a Fake Pest-Control Notice to Keep the Visit Secret

To prevent the singers' presence from drawing fans and curious onlookers, management told staff that the facility would be undergoing pest control. Most employees therefore stayed away that day. According to Coringa, even the hired barbecue chef didn't know who the guests were.

Jin and Jimin spent hours playing League of Legends and, according to Coringa, lost all five games they played. That didn't spoil their fun: the two kept joking around and still wanted to play as the visit was drawing to a close.

They also enjoyed the barbecue and tried pudim, a Brazilian-style caramel custard dessert. Coringa said the singers stayed relaxed and seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the afternoon despite their ranked losses.

The streamer also said a video of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok playing LoL helped break the ice. Coringa and the others present refrained from asking the singers for photos, respecting their privacy during their day off.

LOUD Jokes About Signing Jin and Jimin to Its LoL Team

Once the story became public, LOUD joined in on the fun on social media. The organization posted a playful boast about its two VALORANT world titles and the BTS visit, joking that nobody could imitate the Brazilian organization.

LOUD also unveiled custom green-and-black jerseys bearing the names of all seven BTS members.

Despite making jerseys for the entire group, it remains unclear whether the other five members also visited the facility. Jin and Jimin were the two singers identified in Coringa's account, and LOUD did not confirm whether any of the others attended.

In another post titled “OFFICIAL STATEMENT,” LOUD took the joke a step further by announcing that Jin and Jimin had joined its League of Legends roster. The mock announcement promised further details about competitive plans and the singers' debut.

Another BTS Member Has Reached Master Rank in LoL

BTS's connection to League of Legends extends beyond Jin and Jimin's visit. In August 2026, Kim “V” Tae-hyung showed that he had reached Master rank in solo queue on the Korean server. He shared the achievement on Instagram, drawing attention from both K-pop fans and League of Legends players.

The achievement stood out given the competitive level of the Korean server, widely considered one of the game's toughest. V had previously shown his progress in ranked play when he reached Diamond 2 in June of the same year.

Jin and Jimin's visit to LOUD came just ahead of BTS's concerts at MorumBIS stadium in São Paulo, scheduled for October 28, 30 and 31.
