Riot Games is preparing two free rewards in League of Legends in honor of Lauri “Cyanide” Happonen, the former Fnatic jungler and Worlds 2011 champion. Players will be able to claim the Fnatic Jarvan IV skin and the “Young Legend Cyanide” title by playing three games as Jarvan IV.

The tribute drew attention on Tuesday (October 27), when the new title was spotted in the PBE files, League of Legends' testing environment. The development comes one day after Cyanide's death at the age of 31 was made public. The Finnish player passed away on July 31, but his death was not publicly reported until October 26.

According to the details shared so far, players will need to play three games as Jarvan IV to unlock both rewards:

  • Fnatic Jarvan IV: a skin commemorating Fnatic's 2011 World Championship victory, associated with Cyanide.
  • “Young Legend Cyanide”: a new player title created in memory of the former jungler.

The skin is not new. It is part of the collection created to celebrate Fnatic's victory at the first League of Legends World Championship, when Cyanide was just 16 years old. A release date for the rewards has yet to be confirmed.

Riot Previously Honored Fnatic World Champion Shushei With Free Rewards

The initiative follows a similar tribute from Riot Games in 2025 after the death of Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak, Fnatic's former mid laner and Cyanide's teammate on the 2011 World Championship-winning roster. The Polish player died in April of that year at the age of 36 after battling cancer.

At the time, Riot offered the “Shushei Forever” title for free and allowed players to unlock the Fnatic Gragas skin by playing three games as Gragas. Like Jarvan IV for Cyanide, the Gragas skin was created to celebrate Fnatic's victory at the first Worlds.
