LOS secured its first win at Worlds 2026 on Monday, October 26, sweeping Team Secret Whales 2-0 in Swiss Stage Round 3. The result keeps the Brazilian representative alive at the League of Legends World Championship and sends the Vietnamese team home.
After opening Worlds with losses to T1 and G2 Esports, LOS entered the series with no room for another defeat. The win moves the team to a 1-2 record and into Round 4. Meanwhile, Team Secret Whales, the LCP's top seed, exits the tournament at 0-3 without a match win.
How Did LOS Beat Team Secret Whales?
The opening game was closely contested and lasted just over 40 minutes. Team Secret Whales built an early advantage, but LOS fought back and won a crucial fight around Baron to turn the game in its favor. The Brazilian squad closed out the game with 14 kills to TSW's nine.
In Game 2, LOS built a gold lead of more than 5,000, with standout performances from Kim “Zest” Dong-min on Kennen and Raí “Curse” Yamada on Trundle. TSW secured a Baron and mounted a response, but LOS regained control in the following fights and finished the game with 22 kills to 13, completing the 2-0 sweep.
Duduhh Becomes Youngest Brazilian to Win a Worlds Series
The victory also marked a record for Duduhh. At just 18 years old, the LOS player became the youngest Brazilian ever to win a series at Worlds, according to Sheep Esports. The milestone came after the 2-0 victory over Team Secret Whales.
In his first season competing at the Tier 1 level, Duduhh helped LOS avoid elimination and stay in contention for a spot in the Worlds 2026 playoffs.
Who Can LOS Face in Worlds 2026 Round 4?
LOS will face another team with a 1-2 record in Swiss Stage Round 4, in another elimination best-of-three (Bo3) series. Its opponent will be decided by the draw after Round 3 concludes, so no matchup has been confirmed yet.
Potential opponents include Hanwha Life Esports, CTBC Flying Oyster, and Karmine Corp, as well as the winner of Team Liquid vs Anyone's Legend. G2 Esports also finished Round 3 at 1-2, but cannot face LOS again because rematches are not allowed in the Swiss Stage.
Round 4 begins on October 28. Another win would bring LOS to 2-2 and give the team one final chance to qualify for the playoffs. A loss would end its Worlds 2026 run.
