The BLAST R6 Montreal Major is just around the corner, set to bring some of the world’s best Rainbow Six Siege teams to Montreal, Canada, for an exciting showdown.

Taking place at the Verdun Auditorium, this Major marks a significant return to Montreal after the Six Invitational in 2023, making it the first international competition since then in the city.

With 20 teams vying for the championship, fans can expect high-stakes action and fierce competition across every stage of the event.

A Historic Return to Montreal

Montreal holds a special place in the Rainbow Six Siege esports scene, as the city was home to every Six Invitational from 2017 to 2020.

However, due to the pandemic, the Six Invitational relocated to France (2021) and Sweden (2022), before returning to Montreal in 2023.

Ubisoft then decided to take the tournament global, announcing Brazil as the host for the Six Invitational 2024, followed by the United States in 2025 and France again in 2026. The BLAST R6 Montreal Major, therefore, continues the city’s legacy as an iconic destination for R6 Siege fans.

Format and Schedule

The Montreal Major has a unique three-phase format, testing the adaptability and skill of each participating team.

Phase 1: November 7 - 8, 2024

Format: 8-team Double-Elimination bracket.

Matches: All games are Bo3.

Goal: Top 4 teams advance to Phase 2.

Participating teams in Phase 1 include:

Phase 2: November 10 - 13, 2024

Format: 16-team Swiss System.

Matches: All matches will be Bo1, with elimination matches being Bo3.

Goal: Top 8 teams qualify for Phase 3.

Teams joining in Phase 2 include:

Phase 3: November 15 - 17, 2024

Format: 8-team Single-Elimination bracket.

Matches: Quarterfinals and semifinals are Bo3; the Grand Final is Bo5 with standard overtime rules.

This final phase will crown the Montreal Major champion in what’s sure to be an electrifying Grand Final.
