The Bali Major, the last major for the DPC 2022-2023 Season, is near its climax. As the playoffs proceeded, a few teams secured their slot for the upcoming Internationals, including BetBoom Team. However, due to their recent actions, BetBoom Team could lose their spot to Quest Esports.  The consequence of their actions put them in hot waters, where they lost to Azure Ray and got eliminated from The Bali Major.

BetBoom currently has 760 DPC points and is the last for the potential direct invite for The International 2023. Execration, with 740 points, failed to take over BetBoom’s Ti spot. However, with 632 DPC points, Quest Esports could secure the direct invite to Ti, taking over BetBoom in overall DPC team ranking.

Reflecting BetBoom’s Recent Records

Although BetBoom Team dominated their region, they frequently failed to deliver that regional performance in LANs. However, coming to LANs, the team always hit a dry spell until recently. The team was the last-minute replacement team for DreamLeague Season 20.

Although BetBoom placed second with six wins and one loss during The Eastern Europe DPC Summer Tour, everyone expected them not to make a deep run because of their recent records on LANs. However, BetBoom finally found its calling in that tournament.

During the initial group stages, BetBoom secured second place in Group B over the likes of Gaimin Gladiators, OG and Entity with three wins, two ties and two losses. In the second stage of group stages, the team once again stepped up their game and triumphed over the likes of 9Pandaz, PSGLGD and Gaimin Gladiators, securing second place again with a score of five wins and two losses.

At the upper bracket finals, they took a clean sweep against PSG.LGD. In the grand finals, they stood their ground against Gaimin Gladiators, the undefeated team in LANs thus far. Even though BetBoom Team lost the grand finals against Gaimin Gladiators, they secured a ticket to the Riyadh Master 2023.

Solid Showing

After DreamLeague Season 20, the team’s LANs performances improved drastically. The team found its footing, and at The Bali Major, the team secured a second-place finish in Group B with four wins, two ties and two losses. The team consists of versatile players, which offers them countless playstyle options. They also have Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek, a Ti champion, as their support and drafter for the team.

Quest’s Chances

BetBoom Team In Jeopardy for Ti12 Direct Invite

Quest currently has a 90% chance to secure BetBoom’s spot for Ti12. They are in the upper bracket. Their upcoming match is against Gaimin Gladiators. Winning against Gaimin Gladiators will make them directly qualify for Ti12, but even if they lose, they still have a shot through the lower bracket. Quest Esports just need to get to the top 4 at The Bali Major to get enough points to take over BetBoom in DPC points and get their ticket to The International 2023.
