Rell was created through cruel experimentation by the Black Rose. As a child, she endured painful magical procedures meant to refine her power over metal. Her captors shaped her into a weapon for Noxus. They pushed her abilities to the limit, with no concern for her survival.

She eventually fought back.

Rell staged a violent escape and killed many of those responsible for her suffering. After that, Noxus branded her a criminal. Now she attacks Noxian soldiers on sight. She searches for survivors from her old academy while defending the weak. Her anger fuels her mission, but her actions are focused. She knows exactly who she is fighting.

Rell: Abilities Breakdown

Rell is a tank support with heavy crowd control. Her kit allows her to:

• Engage fights

• Reduce enemy resistances

• Shield herself

• Pull and stun multiple targets

She deals magic damage and thrives in close combat. Rell works best when she starts fights and locks down key enemies. Her abilities reflect her theme. She bends metal, crashes into enemies, and drags them toward her with magnetic force.

Break the Mold (Passive)

Rell's basic attacks deal bonus magic on-hit damage that scales with her total armor and magic resistance. Each of Rell's basic attacks and abilities against non-minions also apply a stack of Break the Mold, stacking up to 5 times and reducing the target's armor and magic resistance. Rell gains bonus armor and magic resistance equal to the sum resistances she has reduced from all enemies. 

Shattering Strike

Shattering Strike has Rell thrust her lance in a target direction while lunging forward. The thrust destroys enemy shields, deals magic damage and stuns the target. 

Ferromany: Crash Down / Mount Up

Rell begins mounted. While she is mounted, she has bonus movement speed. Casting Ferromancy while mounted calls into effect Crash Down. Rell leaps to a target location while dismounting, granting herself a shield. On arrival, she deals magic damage, stuns all enemies in the area and knocks them up. Rell continues sliding forwards past the landing area, dealing damage to further enemies in her path. Respawning or recalling reverts Rell to mounted form. 

When Rell is dismounted, she can cast Ferromany: Mount Up. This reverts Rell to mounted form, gaining decaying bonus movement speed and empowering her next basic attack to gain additional attack range and bonus attack speed. Rell also charges to the target's location when casting Mount Up, flinging enemy units over herself. 

Full Tilt

Empowers Rell and one target allied champion to temporarily gain bonus movement speed. The bonus movement speed further increases if Rell is facing the empowered ally or a visible enemy champion. Full Tilt also empower Rell's next basic attack or Shattering Strike to explode around the target, dealing bonus magic damage.

Magnet Storm (R)

Magnet Storm pulls all nearby enemies towards Rell by greating a gravitational field around her that also deals magic damage over time. 

How Rell’s Kit Works Together

Rell’s abilities form a clear engage pattern. She often starts with Crash Down to knock enemies up. She can activate Magnet Storm during or right after the leap to keep enemies close. Shattering Strike adds another layer of crowd control and removes shields. Mount Up then allows her to chase or reposition, stunning a priority target.

Throughout the fight, Break the Mold reduces enemy resistances while increasing her own defenses. Her power comes from team coordination. She creates opportunities. Her teammates follow up with damage.

Strengths and Limitations

Rell excels in team fights. Her layered crowd control makes it hard for enemies to escape. She also scales defensively through her passive. The more enemies she hits, the stronger she becomes.

Her main weakness is mobility after engaging. When dismounted, she moves slower. If her abilities are on cooldown, she has limited options. Timing is critical. Poor engages leave her exposed.

Rell is a big fan of Aftershock. Her instrinsic playstyle of charging in to playmake is enabled by those extra resistances. Shield Bash synergizes particularly well with Rell due to the shield she gains from Crash Down, making for one BIG hit. 

Zeke's Convergence is the current strongest first item for Rell, as a lot of her playmaking as the game goes on relies on Magnet Storm. More than a facilitator, Rell is an excellent peeler for her carries. Items like Knight's Vow and Locket of the Iron Solari further enable her to bear the damage brunt for her team.
