Amazing storylines, new in-game items, new bundle, event pass and more, let’s see what VALORANT Champions 2024 has in store for us.

In-Game Pick'Ems finally come to VALORANT

The biggest VALORANT esports update coming in-game has to be the Champions 2024 Pick'Ems.  Starting tomorrow, the players can predict and pick the teams they think will win it all to earn exclusive in-game rewards.

The Pick'Ems are divided into two stages; Group Stage and Playoffs. A 100% accuracy on the Pick'Ems will guarantee an exclusive rare in-game title.

The introduction of Pick'Ems further integrates VALORANT with VCT, also rewarding the community for participating and interacting with the esports side of the game.

VALORANT Champions Seoul: Storylines Converge

Conclusion of Gen.G’s redemption run

One of the biggest surprises of the year has been the Gen.G VALORANT roster. After the disappointing conclusion to 2023, the Korean Tigers revamped their roster and took a leap of faith with second chances to HSK, t3xture, munchkin and Meteor. Additionally, they gave Lakia his much needed Tier 1 big break.

Their faith paid off and now, heading into Champions 2024, Gen.G are strong favorites to complete the two-peat. This comes after their victory in Shanghai earlier this year - one of the best redemption stories of the year certainly.

Come the biggest event of the year, they will be looking to deliver the Pacific league its first Champions trophy. But it’s not just Gen.G, Paper Rex will look to finish what they started last year.  DRX themselves have revamped and would want to return to former glory.

Gen.G may be the current star of the Pacific movie, but the rest of the cast is just as hungry for glory.

The indomitable Turkish Talent

An unassuming sub-region, Turkey has been making strides in VALORANT. With Alfajer dominating 2023, 2024 saw more Turkish talent take the center stage and put fear into competitors.

Be it Team Heretics' Wo0t and ReiNs who shredded their competitors at Shanghai, or the rookie Hiro, who subbed in for Leo and helped Fnatic reclaim their EMEA throne.

Young Turkish talent is taking the scene by storm, and VALORANT Champions 2024 will be their latest chance to prove to the world that they are just ‘built different’.

Can ZmjjKK conquer the world?

After failing to prove themselves on their home ground, ZmjjKK and EDward Gaming will be eyeeing the VALORANT Champions 2024 as a final chance to prove their strength this year.

The team made some changes ahead of Stage 2 and now look stronger than ever... but will that be enough to take on the world?

But it is not just EDG; FunPlus Phoenix and BerliN, who missed the playoffs by a single round, moreover losing to the eventual grand finalist, will also be attending with something to prove.

Faced with the group of death, they will be looking to earn that single round this time and make it into Playoffs for the first time in their history.

With this being China's 7th international showing, will Chinese fans finally be treated to a spectacle worthy of their expectations?

“Aspas Final Boss” ?

The Americas hope, the Brazilian superstar, and “Final Boss”: Aspas looks poised for VALORANT Champions 2024. After winning the 2024 VCT Americas title, Aspas and his teammates will have their eyes set on the coveted VALORANT Champions.

With Leviatán looking in their best form of the year yet, this will be their chance to prove to the world what they set out to do from the start.  Winning a second Champs would also solidify Aspas as the best VALORANT player worldwide - seeing as no player has ever managed to repeat such an accomplishment.

Americas is STACKED

But, let’s not forget G2 Esports, an absolute unit, a team proving that VALORANT is a 5v5 tactical shooter. The team’s ‘ascension’ and rise to the top of the VALORANT leaderboard in 2024 has been truly beautiful. A trophy will definitely be a cherry on the top of that delicious cake.

Let’s also not forget Keznit and KRU, nor SEN TenZ, both of whom will be looking to take down the world's best and stay in the race as the best players.

With a single trophy to lift, 16 teams fighting for it, new in-game content for the community , a new bundle, a new agent to unveil, and a multitude of storylines, VALORANT Champions 2024 will be an event to witness.

The tournament kicks off 1st August. Follow Valorant Champions Tour on X/Twitter for latest updates on Champions 2024. You can also follow the tournament on Strafe.

Let the biggest VALORANT event celebrations begin!!

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
