Last night, on the 21st of July, we crowned the VCT Americas Champions, concluding all four regional leagues. With the combatants set, the next and final stop for the top teams from across the leagues is the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2024.

Starting on the 1st of August, 16 teams from the four regional leagues will battle to crown the VALORANT Champion 2024. The three week mega festival will provide us with unlimited entertainment, a new Champions skin bundle and a hype anthem performed by Kiss of Life’s Jullie and Natty and Mark Tuan.

Let’s go over the tournament details.

VALORANT Champions 2024: Format and Schedule

Similar to the previous years, the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2024 will feature two stages viz. Group Stage and Playoffs

The Group Stage features all the 16 competing teams divided into four groups. These groups were drawn following the conclusion of VCT Americas 2024 Grand Finals.

How were the groups drawn?

  • 16 teams were divided into four pools
    • Pool 1 with 1st seed from each league i.e. (EDward Gaming, Fnatic, Gen.G and Leviatán)
    • Pool 2 with the 2nd seeds (DRX, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports and Team Vitality)
    • Pool 3 with the 3rd seeds (KRU Esports, Paper Rex, Team Heretics and Trace Esports)
    • Pool 4 with league points qualification criteria (Bilibili Gaming, FUT Esports, Sentinels and Talon Esports)
  • A single team from each pool was drawn into a group without regional match-ups. So each group consists of a representative from one regional league.

Each group will play a four-team double-elimination bracket, with two teams advancing to the Playoffs. All these games will be Bo3.

These eight teams will take on each other in a double-elimination bracket. The fixtures will be drawn randomly following the conclusion of the Group Stage.

The playoff games will be Bo3 until the Lower Finals and Grand Finals which will be Bo5.

VCT Champions Seoul Event Schedule Breakdown:

  • Group Stage: 1st - 11th August
  • Playoffs Stage: 14th August - 18th August
