On the final day of the VCT Pacific League 2024, the stage was set for an epic showdown between two South Korean powerhouses, Gen.G and DRX. Both teams, known for their fierce rivalry, were ready to leave it all on the line for the coveted VCT Pacific 2024 title.

After a grueling Best-of-5 series that almost went the distance, Gen.G emerged victorious, clinching the trophy and cementing their dominance in the region.

The Korean Derby

The VCT Pacific League 2024 final began on Haven, where DRX dominated early, winning nine rounds straight and leading 10-2 at halftime. Despite Gen.G's efforts, DRX secured the map 13-6.

On Bind, Gen.G rebounded, leading 7-5 at halftime and pushing to 12-9. DRX forced Overtime, but after a 34-round battle, Gen.G claimed the map 18-16.

On Lotus, DRX led 7-5 at halftime, but both teams fought hard in the second half. Gen.G reached 11 rounds, and although DRX neared victory, Gen.G forced Overtime and won 14-12.

Needing a win on Icebox to stay alive, DRX fell behind 7-5 by halftime. Gen.G's relentless attack gave DRX only one more round, as Gen.G decisively won 13-6, securing the VCT Pacific 2024 title.

The Golden Generation

Heralded as the "Golden Generation" of Gen.G, this roster has been a dominant force throughout the season, reaching five Grand Finals and winning three titles, including two domestic and one international. With their eyes now set on Champions, the Golden Tigers enter the tournament as favorites, eager to add the most prestigious trophy to their collection.

Gen.G's triumph in the VCT Pacific 2024 further solidifies their position as a powerhouse in the VALORANT scene. And also sets the stage for a promising future. As they prepare for Champions, the team carries the hopes of their fans and the legacy of their remarkable season, aiming to achieve even greater glory on the global stage.
