VALORANT Patch 13.06 is quickly shaping up to be one of the most prominent patches in recent memory. With this patch, the game will welcome a new mode, a new agent mastery system, and a new Rifle: Warden.

An alternative to the Vandal and Phantom, the Warden will be a 2x-scoped rifle built for precision and long-range duels.

Warden Key Features

As mentioned before, the Warden is a unique offering in the rifle category that is equipped for long-distance duels.

  • Price: 2900 credits
  • Magazine Size: 18
  • Fire Rate: 6.5 rounds per second
  • Ammo Reserve: 36
  • Reload Timing: 2.5
  • Damage:
    • Body: 50
    • Head: 200
    • Leg: 42
  • Equip Timing:
    • Normal: 1.0
    • Fast: .6
    • Instant .2
  • Wall Penetration: Medium

While the Warden has a lower fire rate, the damage makes up for it. The rifle’s ~460ms time-to-kill is very comparable to the Vandal’s ~420ms. The penetration power, equip, and reload time are the same as the Vandal.

Coming to the rifle's unique offering — the 2x scope — is comparable to the Operator's single scope (2.5x). This adds value to the slower fire rate, making the Warden a solid choice on maps with multiple long lanes like Breeze, Lotus, Abyss, etc.

When Will Warden Arrive in VALORANT?

Warden will be released in VALORANT with Patch 13.06 alongside a new game mode — Gauntlet: Glitched— and a new Agent Progression system on September 22.
