lukxo Explains Why He's Leaving LOUD After Winning VALORANT Champions
Lucca "lukxo" Travaioli has confirmed his departure from LOUD, just 11 days after helping the Brazilian organization win VALORANT Champions 2026. On Thursday (October 29), the 20-year-old shared a video and a written statement explaining why he decided to leave shortly after becoming a world champion.
His announcement follows reports that he and teammate Roberto "erde" Lobos have agreed to join Leviatán for the 2027 VCT season. While lukxo has confirmed he is leaving LOUD, his move to the Argentine organization has not yet been officially announced.
Why Is lukxo Leaving LOUD?
In his farewell video, lukxo reflected on the two goals that motivated him to pursue a professional VALORANT career. Having achieved one of them by winning Champions 2026, he explained why the other continues to influence his decisions.
"When I got into VALORANT, when the game started becoming my dream, I had two goals. One was to become a world champion, and the other was to help my family, to give back for everything they've done for me over the years. I achieved the first one not long ago. The second is something I'm still working toward. I'm already helping, but I know I can do more, and I want to do more."
The Brazilian also admitted that leaving LOUD so soon was never part of his original plans. Despite receiving an attractive offer, he emphasized how much his time with the organization meant to him and why his responsibilities outside the game played a role in the decision.
"Obviously, I didn't want to leave LOUD. I didn't want it to be just two years. It was a short time, but from my point of view, those were two wonderful years. I loved being here. [...] And this wasn't just a decision made by lukxo the player. It was very much a decision made by lukxo the son. As a son, as the man of the house, this is a decision I'm making. So, I received a really good offer, and that's part of it, you know?"
Uncertainty Over LOUD's 2027 Roster Also Influenced His Decision
Beyond his family responsibilities, lukxo addressed the competitive side of the move in his written statement. He said his confidence in the players he expects to compete alongside was an important factor, particularly with LOUD's lineup for next season still uncertain.
"As a professional player, I really believe in the players I'm going to be playing with. My goal is to become one of the greatest players in this game, and the logical decision was to join this team rather than stay without knowing who would remain. With this team, I hope to qualify for as many international tournaments as possible and be able to help my family, who depend on me, even more."
He acknowledged that the move comes with risks. Competitive VALORANT offers no guarantees, and lukxo pointed to his own experience with LOUD as proof that results can change dramatically. His team struggled earlier in the season before going on to win the world championship.
Although he mentioned receiving a strong offer, lukxo did not disclose any financial details or officially name his next team in either statement.
Where Will lukxo Play in 2027?
Leviatán remains the most likely destination. On Wednesday (October 28), Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis of Sheep Esports reported that lukxo and Roberto "erde" Lobos had reached verbal agreements with the Argentine organization.
Later that day, Bruno Povoleri of THESPIKE Brasil reported that LOUD had accepted Leviatán's offer for the two world champions. According to the report, MIBR had submitted a higher financial offer, but both players reportedly favored Leviatán's project.
The proposed transfers still require the necessary paperwork and contract signings. The official VCT transfer window opens on November 2, and neither organization has formally announced the move.
lukxo Apologizes to LOUD Fans Over His Departure
The announcement came after days of speculation and criticism from LOUD supporters. In his written statement, lukxo acknowledged their frustration and explained that contractual restrictions had prevented him from addressing the situation sooner.
He said he had wanted to speak publicly before the rumors escalated, but only received permission on Thursday. His farewell video had already been recorded by the time he was allowed to share it.
The player also addressed accusations that he had given fans false hope about remaining with the organization during his livestreams.
"I never wanted to give you false hope on stream. I was under contract, so I couldn't say anything. I could have reacted a little better, and I'm sorry if I didn't. I'd never been through anything like this before."
Despite some of the negative comments directed at him, lukxo said he would continue supporting LOUD. He thanked the organization, Jean and the fans who had both supported and criticized him throughout the situation.
lukxo Leaves LOUD Just Days After Historic Champions 2026 Win
The timing of the departure is particularly notable given LOUD's recent success. On October 18, the Brazilian organization defeated Team Vitality 3-1 in the VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Grand Final, becoming the first organization to win two VALORANT world championships, following its previous title in 2022.
lukxo joined LOUD in 2025 and spent two years with the organization, culminating in the biggest achievement of his professional career. In his farewell video, he thanked the fans for welcoming him and said his departure would also bring money to LOUD through the transfer.
However, the Brazilian hopes his time with the organization is not over for good. Looking further ahead, lukxo revealed that his dream is to eventually return to Brazil and finish his professional career with LOUD.
