Paper Rex announced on Saturday, October 31, that Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie and Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee are leaving its VALORANT roster. Both players were part of some of the organization's biggest successes, and the team is now preparing for the 2027 season with roster changes.

Paper Rex shared separate farewell posts on social media, first announcing the departure of d4v41, who had been with the organization since its founding. The team confirmed Jinggg's exit shortly afterward.

When Did Jinggg and d4v41 Join Paper Rex?

d4v41 had been with Paper Rex since 2020, when the organization competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). The Malaysian player made the move to VALORANT with the team in 2021 and remained on the roster as it rose to international prominence.

In its farewell message, Paper Rex looked back on their shared achievements and memories, calling d4v41 abang, a Malay term for an older brother.

Jinggg joined Paper Rex in September 2021. The Singaporean became one of the team's most recognizable players thanks to his aggressive playstyle, particularly on Raze. In its tribute, Paper Rex recalled his clutches, aces and memories outside the game from five years together.

Both players featured in some of Paper Rex's most notable tournament campaigns, including a runner-up finish at VALORANT Champions 2023 and the team's first international title at Masters Toronto 2025. Paper Rex also won VCT Pacific Stage 1 in 2026 and finished as runner-up at both Masters Santiago and Masters London that year.

Jinggg Reflects on His Paper Rex Departure

After Paper Rex made the announcement, Jinggg posted a farewell message on his personal X account. He confirmed his departure and thanked his teammates, coaches, staff and fans for their support throughout his time with the organization.

“Today marks the end of an incredible chapter in my life,” Jinggg wrote. He said he had grown both as a person and as a player over his five years with Paper Rex. While he expressed excitement about what comes next, he has not announced his next team.

There had already been signs of d4v41's departure the previous week, when he announced that he had been allowed to explore opportunities with other teams as his contract neared its end. Saturday's statement made his exit official. His next destination has not been announced either.

Paper Rex Remains a VCT Pacific Partner for 2027

Paper Rex is one of eight organizations selected by Riot Games as VCT Pacific partners for 2027 and 2028. The organization retains its place in the league and is guaranteed a spot at the 2027 Kickoff. Jinggg and d4v41's departures are therefore unrelated to any loss of partnership status.

As for the roster rebuild, Sheep Esports reported on October 29 that Jhon Patrick Ramos “PatMen” Mendoza is expected to return to Paper Rex after a season with Global Esports. The outlet also reported that Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto and Ilya “something” Petrov are set to remain with the team. Paper Rex has yet to officially confirm those roster plans.

The organization has not announced its full lineup for the 2027 season.
