G2 Esports announced that Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov will not be part of the lineup for BLAST Premier Spring Final.

Instead, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas will step-in as their fifth player for the event, starting from June 12th until the 16th. According to the organization, the yellow flash will miss the event due to visa issues, with the event taking place in London, United Kingdom.

This marks the second consecutive event where G2 fields a stand-in, after their in-game leader Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen missed IEM Dallas. Moreover, the update was reported days before the official announcement, as “mONESY” stated on stream that he had “bad news” for his fans.

"I have bad news for you, you will find out in 4 days"

“m0NESY” has rapidly become one of the most promising talents in Counter-Strike. His fragging ability and tactical brilliance have been instrumental in G2's recent triumphs on the world stage. For him to miss out on the BLAST event would be a significant setback, especially with his excitement to share his experience from Dallas with his captain.

Replacing him is “TaZ”, whose last professional match was under the HONORIS tag in March last year, just before the organization folded and the Polish legend retired from competitive play.

G2's first opponent at the tournament will be Spirit, in Group B’s highlight match on Wednesday at 19:30 CET.

Their final BLAST Premier Spring Final roster is:
