League of Legends powerhouse T1 has announced a 256-player Riftbound tournament — T1 Trials. The largest South Korean card tournament marks the organization's attempt to expand Riftbound.

Amongst the 256 players will be content creators and top-tier players. The tournament will boast 5 million Korean Won in total rewards, including the T1 Signature Box for the top 64 players.

T1 Trials Tournament Details

256 players will compete in an 8-round Swiss system format at Hall 6C of the KINTEX Exhibition Centre II in Ilsan on November 1. The tournament moves to the T1 Base Camp in Gangnam, where the top 16 players from the qualifiers will face off in a single-elimination bracket to claim the title.

The 256-player entry format is designed to balance competitive excellence with mainstream popularity. Special invitations were extended to 10 top-tier players and popular influencers. The remaining slots will be filled by general participation.

Player registration is only complete after purchasing two Riftbound Slim Packs.

The champion will receive rewards worth 1.3 million KRW, including an official T1 Signature Box, 1 carton of Jumbo packs, and 1 carton of Slim Packs. Tiered rewards will be distributed to all top 64 players. Additionally, a lucky draw event will be held on Day 1 for all attending participants.

The T1 Trials serve as a key pillar in T1’s strategy to expand the Riftbound ecosystem. Following a successful free clinic for beginners at T1 Base Camp Gangnam, T1 Esports Academy (T1A) — T1’s specialized educational arm — is actively preparing to launch an official Riftbound training curriculum. By integrating offline venue infrastructure (TBC), specialized education (T1A), and large-scale tournaments (Trials), T1 aims to solidify the foundation and take the lead in this emerging esport title.

Further details regarding tournament registration, rulebooks, and custom ban lists are available on the official T1 Instagram channel.
