The day every Rainbow Six Siege fan has been waiting for has finally arrived - Siege X is officially live worldwide. With a host of new features, quality-of-life improvements, and security upgrades, the launch marks a significant evolution for Ubisoft’s tactical shooter. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new and what you need to know to jump in.

Siege X is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, Steam, and Ubisoft+.

Note: The Dual Front mode is not supported on PS4 and Xbox One.

Progression, Rewards & Inventory

Veteran players who’ve played Siege before June 10 will retain all operators, progression, and inventory. You’ll also be granted Veteran Rewards, which scale based on how long you've been part of the Siege community. Simply launching the game will unlock these rewards automatically.

Clash Rework: A New Defensive Playstyle

One of the most impactful operator updates comes to Clash. Once considered frustrating and limited, she now enjoys:

  • Enhanced movement with her shield adapting dynamically
  • Deployable CCE Shield MK2 for area control
  • Damage-less taser with expanded area of effect and strategic slowdown based on enemy direction
  • Removed deployable shield for balance

ShieldGuard and Anti-Toxicity Systems Evolve

Ubisoft is doubling down on fair play with a massive update to R6 ShieldGuard and the Reputation System. Highlights include:

  • Auto moderation in chat, with only 0.1% false positives
  • New anti-recoil detection systems in development for consoles
  • ShieldGuard updates now roll out without maintenance downtime
  • Lag exploit fixes and network hardening are underway
