The BLAST R6 Major Osaka represents the pinnacle of Stage 2 competition in Rainbow Six Siege. Running from November 5 to November 15, 2026, the ten-day tournament will culminate in a three-day LAN playoff before a live audience at ATC Hall in Osaka, Japan.

Marking the first top-level Rainbow Six esports LAN event hosted in Japan since the Pro League Season 10 Finals in 2019, the tournament represents an important stepping stone to the ultimate championship, the Six Invitational 2027 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Qualified Teams

Twenty teams qualified for the Osaka Major through regional league playoffs across five global zones: Europe-MENA League (EML), North America League (NAL), South America League (SAL), China League (CNL), and the Asia-Pacific League (APL).

Twelve top-seeded rosters earned direct placement into the Swiss Stage, while eight lower-seeded teams must compete through the Play-In bracket to earn their spots.

Format and Schedule

The BLAST R6 Osaka Major utilizes a three-phase hybrid competition format across online and offline environments.

Spanning ten days of play, the tournament moves from double-elimination play-ins to a sixteen-team Swiss stage, concluding with single-elimination arena playoffs.

Phase 1: Play-In Phase (November 6 - 7, Online)

The Play-In phase features eight lower-seeded qualified teams competing in an eight-team double-elimination bracket. The top four teams advance to the Swiss Stage, while the remaining four are eliminated.

  • Opening Round Matchups:

    • Match 1: Weibo Gaming vs. Dplus KIA

    • Match 2: Virtus.pro vs. KINGZERO eSports

    • Match 3: DarkZero Esports vs. TYLOO

    • Match 4: LOS vs. All Gamers

  • Round 1 opening matches are played as Bo1s. All subsequent elimination and advancement/qualification matches are Bo3.

  • Matches begin daily at 9:30 AM JST / 12:30 AM UTC / 1:30 AM CET.

Phase 2: Swiss Stage (November 8 - 11, Online)

The Swiss Stage brings together sixteen teams—twelve directly qualified top seeds plus the four advancing Play-In teams—competing under a classic Swiss-system format.

  • Teams compete until accumulating either three wins (qualifying for the LAN Playoffs) or three losses (elimination from the Major).

  • Regular Swiss matches are Bo1, whereas promotion and elimination matches are Bo3.

  • Eight teams that achieve three wins secure passage to the live arena finals.

Phase 3: Finals & LAN Playoffs (November 13 – 15, Offline)

The final eight teams travel to ATC Hall in Osaka for a three-day, single-elimination knockout bracket in front of a live stadium crowd.

Final match dates and the schedule for Phases 2 and 3 will be revealed further into the tournament. To stay up to date on future matches, you can follow the Rainbow Six Siege Calendar.
