After days of speculation, Sentinels Valorant finally announced the acquisition of Mohamed Amine “johnqt” Ouarid. The Moroccon youngster will take over as the team's in-game leader for VCT 2024. Only a few days ago, Sentinels announced the contract extension for TenZ. The decision to bring in johnqt was to introduce a much needed IGL experience on the team. With Zekken, Sacy and Pancada. The Sentinels Valorant will now be a complete team.

Sentinels in VCT 2023:

For 2023, Sentinels acquired Sacy and Pancada from LOUD and paired them with TenZ, Zekken and Dephh. The results of the newly formed Americas superteam did not reflect the team’s potential on paper. The team failed to secure a strong start to VCT Americas. Amidst the team's bad performances, Sentinels dropped Sykko and Dephh and signed Marved.

With Dephh out of the picture, Marved took up as the team’s IGL, and the team somewhat recovered. But it was too late, the team missed the playoffs and the VCT Masters Tokyo. At the LCQ, Sentinels were one of the strongest. The scrim-bucks had Sentinels taking the last Americas spot at the Valorant Champions 2023. Unfortunately they lost to KRU esports and then to Leviatan. The loss concluded the season for the team.

Sentinels Valorant sign Johnqt:

Around the same time, johnqt was leading a happy bomb squad, M80, in the VCT Americas Ascension. Johnqt started his Valorant career in 2020 and since hopped on multiple T2-T3 roster before ending up with M80 in 2022. Along with The Guard, M80 were considered one of the strongest Valorant teams in Americas. Johnqt was the team’s IGL and led the team to VCT Ascension Grand finals. Unfortunately they lost to the Guard. The roster was moved to an inactive position shortly after, allowing the players to explore their options. A few days ago, M80 announced they are parting ways with johnqt.

With johnqt, Sentinels will have a much needed experienced IGL. Along with Sacy as a secondary shotcaller, Sentinels will likely replicate their scrim results. The complete roster is yet to be confirmed but there are definitely rumors. You can follow Sentinels on Twitter to check all the updates on the roster. Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
