Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, has been captivating fans with his exceptional gameplay for years. In September, he etched his name in history by securing the prestigious Aegis of Champions with Team Liquid.

While it wasn’t his first appearance in a TI grand final, this time, it was his moment to shine. In an interview with Blast.tv, Nisha reflected on his professional journey and shared insights into his in-game perspectives.

Nisha talks about Puppey's impact on his career

Nisha first caught the attention during his tenure with Team Kinguin. Recognizing his immense potential, Clement "Puppey" Ivanov recruited him to join Team Secret. During his time with the team, Nisha solidified his reputation as one of the top players in the competitive scene, playing a pivotal role in securing multiple trophies for the organization.

One of their most remarkable achievements came at The International 2022. They made an incredible run from the Last Chance Qualifiers to the grand finals. Unfortunately, they fell short against Tundra Esports in the final showdown.

Throughout his time with Team Secret, Nisha had the chance to play alongside seasoned veterans, an experience that profoundly shaped him into the player he is today. In his interview, Nisha also gave them credit for helping him to win a TI.

"I didn't really know what it was like to be a pro player until I joined Team Secret. Joining the team was a huge turning point for me. I learned so much from not only Puppey but also Zai, Matumbaman, and everyone else around me. These people are the real reason I was able to win TI."

Nisha on his perspective on the in-game roles

Nisha is currently serving as the midlaner for Team Liquid. However, his versatility as a player has been evident, particularly in his successful stints as a safelaner back at his time with Team Secret. In a recent interview, Nisha discussed his preferred in-game role.

"I prefer mid-lane, but the case would have been different two years ago. However, now when I play safe-lane in pubs, it’s boring, just too boring. There’s literally nothing happening in the safe-lane role."

He also remarked that some things have evolved in the midlane role. Nisha highlighted the crucial aspects of his role that often go unnoticed by untrained eyes.

"Everything is crucial. Hard work, discipline and positive mental attitude. One should avoid getting tilted because playing in the mid-lane now isn’t the same as before. You have to communicate and be nice to the support players rather than thinking about playing or winning the game alone."

Nisha on the changes in Team Liquid's offlane role

Following their TI victory, Team Liquid underwent a roster shuffle, parting ways with their offlaner, Neta "33" Shapira. While the move surprised many fans, Nisha revealed that 33 had already informed the team about his decision to leave a month before their TI run. The player also expressed his feelings on 33's departure.

"It was expected because we talked about it one month before the tournament. I was not surprised and was okay with it. If he wants to leave, he can do it and whatever happens, happens. It is what it is."

Team Liquid quickly filled the vacancy in their offlane role, announcing Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek as their newest addition to the team. This, however, isn’t the player’s first stint with Liquid. SabeRLighT- previously stood in for the team at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where his impressive performance helped secure a podium finish and left a lasting impression. As a result, when the offlane position became available, he was the ideal choice to step into the role. The player also shared his thoughts on the matter.

"We checked out a bunch of offlane players, and SabeRLight- just seemed like the right fit. He’s a good player who can handle the heat, and we’ve played with him before, so it was a no-brainer to bring him on board. His hero pool and playstyle differ from 33's. He's a bit more tempo-oriented and has a unique perspective. His goofy personality is a great addition to the team's dynamic. "

Currently, Team Liquid is participating in BLAST Slam I. After their impressive group stage performance, the team will start their playoff journey from the quarter-finals.
