A new Glove collection has finally arrived in CS2: the Dead Hand Collection.

Similar to the Genesis Terminal, the Dead Hand Collection is exclusively available via the Arms Dealer terminal, as a weekly drop.

Dead Hand Terminal is Added to the Weekly Drop

The Dead Hand Collection features 39 news skins. There are 17 new weapon skins and 22 new gloves. This is the first glove collection released in CS2.

Similar to the Genesis Collection, to get your hands on the Dead Hand Terminal, you have to either buy it from the Steam Market or wait for it to appear as a weekly drop.

The terminal will function the same way, where you will get 5 offers from the Arms Dealer, but this time, the Gloves i.e. the Gold will drop as one of the offers.

You can buy the skin/glove after you pay for it. A skin/glove bought from the terminal will also carry the original owner certificate.

Is Counter-Strike moving away from Cases?

It’s been almost a year since a new case was added to Counter-Strike. Since then there have been updates to armory, a new skin drop mechanic - terminal, but no mention of a new case. So the question has to be asked if Valve has decided to move away from cases completely.

And with the Dead Hand Collection, Valve might’ve answered the question. The new terminal collection not only introduces the first Glove collection to CS2, but also the ability to receive a Gold item offer from the Arms Dealer.

The introduction of Golds to the terminals essentially circumvents multiple regulations related to in-game items and economy that has been tightened in recent years while still allowing Valve to reap maximum benefits. Moreover, with multiple lawsuits filed against the game developers, the decision to steer away from cases looks most lucrative.

The latest patch also introduces small bug fixes to Dust 2 and a change that was not mentioned.
