Team Liquid Make History Again in Latest Encounter with 100 Thieves
Weeks after finally posting a LAN win to end a 7-year drought, Team Liquid have made Counter-Strike history once again — this time for the wrong reason. The North American squad matched against 100 Thieves in the Group Stage of Stake Pulse Beat III for qualification to Playoffs and stumbled away from the latter’s map pick with the rarefied 0-13.
Vying for Consecutive LAN Wins
Team Liquid come charging into Stake Pulse as one of the highest ranked teams among the pool (only 4 teams ranked above them), looking to continue their run of success since the fl0m Mythical LAN.
After putting away BBL, they came head-to-head with 100 Thieves, themselves a two-time LAN champion already in 2026. In the series opening map of Dust 2, Liquid failed to post a single round win against their opponents, with only Keith “NAF” Markovic managing a double-digit kill tally.
At the time of writing, Liquid and 100 Thieves continue their match into the former’s map pick of Inferno, hopefully to push it to a decider third map. Liquid currently sit at rank 27 on the VRS board and are hoping to improve their rating before the PGL Singapore Major.
