Vitality Become Counter-Strike’s Most Successful Team by Prize Money
Team Vitality have overtaken Natus Vincere in Counter-Strike’s all-time prize-money ranking after their ESL Pro League Season 24 title. The result lifted the French organization to $13,886,593 in recorded earnings, putting them $204,133 ahead of NAVI.
The change ended NAVI’s four-year run at the top of the list. Vitality entered Counter-Strike in October 2018, while NAVI have competed in the game since 2009. Vitality reached first place in a shorter period, although the comparison also covers different eras of tournament funding.
Vitality Lead the Earnings Ranking
Vitality’s current total places them narrowly ahead of NAVI. Astralis, FaZe Clan and MOUZ complete the top five.
| Rank | Organization | Recorded earnings |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vitality | $13,886,593 |
| 2 | Natus Vincere | $13,682,460 |
| 3 | Astralis | $11,712,259 |
| 4 | FaZe Clan | $10,440,259 |
| 5 | MOUZ | $8,750,374 |
Vitality’s advantage over NAVI is around 1.5%. The gap is smaller than the first-place payout at several current international events, so the order could change again after a single major result.
The ranking uses recorded competition earnings. It includes player prize money and, in some cases, club rewards or circuit bonuses. It does not measure an organization’s revenue, profit, sponsorship income or total business value.
More Prize Money, Fewer Titles
The earnings table does not match the ranking by tournament victories. NAVI have 56 recorded titles, compared with 41 for Vitality. MOUZ have won 72 tournaments but sit fifth, with the difference coming from the size of the events won by each organization. A title at a Major or another high-paying international competition can generate more money than several victories at smaller tournaments. Modern circuits also provide additional payments tied to results across multiple events, and Vitality has plenty of those deposited in their bank account.
However, even though Vitality’s position is accurate when we measure nominal prize money, it does not mean that the organization has won more tournaments than NAVI or MOUZ, nor does it settle broader debates about the greatest team in Counter-Strike history... or does it?
Over Half Earned in Just Two Years
Vitality’s recent form explains the speed of the climb. More than half of the organization’s current Counter-Strike earnings arrived during 2025 and 2026. Published figures placed Vitality at $10,223,593 after the PGL Cluj-Napoca tournament in February 2026. At the end of 2025, the organization had an estimated $9.57 million in recorded earnings. That means Vitality entered 2025 with roughly $5.63 million.
The increase since then is approximately $8.26 million, equal to around 59.5% of Vitality’s current total. The figure is an estimate because public databases do not always use the same rules for club rewards, circuit bonuses and other team payments. Vitality earned $3.93 million during 2025, according to Esports Charts. That total included tournament prizes, the ESL Grand Slam and the BLAST Frequent Flyers Program. The team also won nine international tournaments during the year, including the Austin and Budapest Majors, which each paid $500,000 to the champion.
Vitality continued collecting large payouts in 2026. The organization passed $10 million in February and added more than $3.66 million before the ESL Pro League Season 24 title pushed it above NAVI.
Comparing Earnings Across Eras
The Vitality and NAVI comparison covers different periods in Counter-Strike, so the raw totals need context:
- Prize pools were smaller in NAVI’s early years. The 2010 World Cyber Games had a $40,000 Counter-Strike prize pool. IEM Season IV paid $100,000, while the first CS:GO Majors in 2013 offered $250,000. Major payouts later rose to $1 million in 2016 and reached $1.25 million by 2025.
- The wider circuit now distributes more money. Counter-Strike tournaments awarded more than $32.2 million in 2025, up 41.5% from 2024. Vitality won much of its prize money during this period of larger payouts, while NAVI collected part of its total when first-place payments were lower.
- Inflation affects the meaning of the totals. A dollar earned in 2010 had greater purchasing power than a dollar earned in 2026, but both count equally in a nominal ranking. An inflation-adjusted table could give more weight to NAVI’s early earnings, although producing one would require consistent data across more than two decades.
- Modern events use broader payment systems. ESL Pro League Season 24 had a $1 million total, with $300,000 assigned to players and $700,000 distributed as club rewards. Vitality’s first-place allocation included $125,000 for players and $170,000 for the organization.
- Circuit bonuses also affect recent totals. Vitality’s 2025 earnings included $1 million from the ESL Grand Slam and $1 million from BLAST’s Frequent Flyers Program. These payments came from competitive results but were separate from standard tournament prize money.
Another Victory for Vitality’s collection
Vitality have added another victory to their collection by moving above NAVI as Counter-Strike’s highest-earning organization by nominal prize money. The ranking needs context it's true, but that context does not diminish the achievement. Vitality earned an estimated 59.5% of their current prize money in the last two years, which reflects the team’s sustained results at major events in recent seasons.
NAVI continues to hold more recorded titles and a longer history in Counter-Strike for the time being, but Vitality’s rapid rise to first place and their continued collection titles at a monstruous pace, the question is how long NAVI remaining records can withstand the French team’s advance.
