The Thunderpick World Championship 2025 grand final is set! Tomorrow, Sunday, October 19th at 3:00 pm CEST Brazil’s FURIA and Europe’s NAVI will take on each other for $200,000. After an intense tournament run, both teams arrive with contrasting stories that make this matchup captivating.

Journey's Leading to the Thunderpick World Championship Grand Final

FURIA has steamrolled through the competition, undefeated and looking unstoppable. The Brazilian synergy and tactical sharpness have been on full display, most recently in their commanding 2-0 win over Aurora. Key players like molodoy and KSCERATO have performed at peak levels, giving FURIA the momentum and confidence of a team poised to lift their second title in 2025.

On the other side, NAVI’s journey has been a rollercoaster. Their resilience was tested in tightly contested 2-1 victories against Imperial, Aurora, and The MongolZ. But the head-to-head against FURIA favors them.

With their current form, FURIA are a team of championship caliber and NAVI has the experience and tactical depth necessary for a potential upset.

Grand Finals Preview

Map vetoes will play a crucial role in shaping the final battlefield. NAVI are expected to remove Overpass, their permanent ban and one of FURIA’s strongest maps with a 78% win rate. In response, FURIA will likely veto Ancient, NAVI’s comfort pick.

This leaves Train, Mirage, Dust2, Inferno, and Nuke in the pool. Based on preferences, Train and Mirage should open the series as each team’s go-to pick, followed by Inferno and Nuke, maps both teams frequent. If the match goes the distance, Dust2 will serve as the decider.

The key duels to watch include:

  • AWPers: molodoy’s precise, team-oriented AWP play against w0nderful’s clutch-heavy sniping.
  • Riflers: Both sides’ riflers will battle fiercely for map control across every corner.
  • In-Game Leaders: FalleN and Aleksib will vie for strategic dominance, their mid-round calls likely to decide pivotal moments.
  • X-Factor: YEKINDAR’s aggressive entries could be the difference-maker in dismantling NAVI’s defense.

While B1ad3's NAVI is a tactical juggernaut, FURIA’s relentless form suggests they are ready to maintain an edge over their opponents. The final will go the distance, but expect FURIA to find a way through a grueling five-map war to lift the trophy yet again.

Mark your calendars for October 19th, 5:00 pm CEST, this final is set to be a classic battle between two of CS2’s premier teams, with glory waiting at the finish line.
