S1mple’s BC.Game bench electroNic, asap joins as replacement

Only 10 weeks after adding mzinho to their Counter-Strike roster, BC.Game Esports has benched electroNic in favor of Australian youngster asap as a Hail Mary to qualify for the upcoming Singapore Major 2026. 

The organization confirmed Denis “electroNic” Sharipov’s departure earlier today, September 22. The addition of Tyson "asap" Paterson also changes BC.Game home region from Europe to Asia, giving them easier entry to the upcoming Major. 

The BC.Game Struggles Continue

After mzinho joined the team, the community had high expectations for s1mple and BC.Game. The win at Elisa BreakOut Series #1 — their debut event — only further boosted their stock. 

Unfortunately, their performance at their debut event was the brightest spot for the roster, as the follow-up events, despite being tier 2, 3, or qualifiers, saw the roster repeatedly fail to cross the finish line. 

The poor results meant BC.Game dropped from #38 to #47 on the VRS leaderboard in September alone. This decline put their Singapore Major dreams in jeopardy, forcing their hand to make a change if they want to attend the prestigious event. 

BC.Game could’ve added another European or CIS talent to replace electroNic, but their decision to add asap changes their home region to Asia, almost confirming a Major spot. This was the same tactic Liquid used previously to qualify for the Cologne Major.

It remains to be seen whether this change improves the roster as a whole. Asap is a talented Australian player. With THUNDERdOWNUNDER, he won multiple tier 2 and 3 events and also played the IEM Cologne Major 2026. He was one of the strongest players on the squad, but he cannot be considered a direct upgrade over electroNic. 

Nonetheless, the new roster will be playing the upcoming Stake Pulse Beat III starting October 12. Their performance at the event will serve as an indicator of what to expect from this BC.Game lineup for the remainder of the season.
