LOUD head coach Pedro "peu" Lopes has announced his departure from the organization after a season of mixed results. Peu, who joined the Brazilian powerhouse in November 2023, revealed the news on X. His departure comes after just one season with the team, following a year filled with both promise and disappointment.

A Promising Start, but an Unsteady Season

Peu was brought on board by LOUD following an impressive stint with The Union, where he led the team to a 3rd place finish in the VCT Americas Ascension 2023. His signing by LOUD was seen as a strategic move to strengthen the team after The Union disbanded. However, despite high expectations, the 2024 season did not unfold as anticipated for LOUD.

The team kicked off the year with a strong 2nd place finish in VCT Americas Kickoff. Which was followed by a respectable 4th place at Masters Madrid. However, LOUD’s performance took a downward turn during the VCT Americas Stage 1. They finished in 5th-6th place, missing out on a spot at VCT Masters Shanghai. The struggles continued into Stage 2, with LOUD ending the season at a disappointing 9th place, ultimately failing to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2024.

Peu’s Reflections and Next Steps

In his announcement on X, Peu reflected on the season, acknowledging the highs and lows. "2024 was a year of a lot of learning and new experiences, many changes happened and deviated from the initial idea," Peu wrote.

"There were a lot of changes that steered us away from the initial idea, and while we didn't hit all the expected results, our 4th place at Masters Madrid and 2nd place at KICKOFF Americas were pretty cool."

Despite the challenges, Peu remains confident in his abilities and is already looking ahead to future opportunities.

"I know my ability to lead and organize projects, and I thank LOUD for the trust, but now I am ready for new challenges and to prove myself once again... I am open to proposals and free from any contractual fines, preferably looking for an opportunity to be Head Coach of a project."

Pedro "peu" Lopes' time with LOUD may have been brief, but it was filled with valuable lessons and experiences. As he embarks on the next chapter of his coaching career, LOUD will also need to reassess and rebuild to regain their position as a top contender in the competitive VALORANT scene.
