LCS 2026 Summer Reaches Highest Peak Viewership in Four Years
LCS 2026 Summer recorded the league's highest peak viewership in four years. According to preliminary data from Esports Charts, the Team Liquid vs LYON Grand Final reached 279,217 concurrent viewers across League of Legends broadcasts.
It was the LCS' highest peak since Summer 2022, when the Cloud9 vs 100 Thieves final drew 370,178 concurrent viewers.
LCS Rebounds After Two Events Below 200,000 Peak Viewers
The jump is particularly noticeable compared with the other two LCS events held in 2026. Lock-In peaked at 184,969 viewers, while Spring reached 183,152.
Summer 2026 also surpassed several recent LCS editions. Spring 2023 peaked at 271,376 viewers, while Summer 2024 reached 260,753.
Across the tournament, average viewership stood at 82,121. The event generated 7,917,786 Hours Watched across 96 hours and 25 minutes of airtime.
English and Spanish broadcasts both improved compared with Spring 2026. Peak viewership for the English-language coverage increased by 44.1%, while Spanish-language broadcasts were up 71.6%, according to Esports Charts.
Caedrel Leads Channels in Peak Viewers and Hours Watched
Marc "Caedrel" Lamont also spent significantly more time covering the LCS than he did in Spring. His airtime increased sixfold, and he finished Summer 2026 as the top channel by both Hours Watched and Peak Viewers.
More channels covered the league as well, with the total rising from 100 in Spring to 126 in Summer. Twitch and YouTube remained the dominant platforms, while Kick, TikTok, SOOP Korea, and CHZZK also recorded growth.
LCS Posts Third-Highest Peak Among Worlds 2026 Qualifying Leagues
Among the regional leagues that qualify teams for Worlds 2026, the LCS currently has the third-highest peak viewership. Only the LCK and LEC have drawn larger audiences.
- LCK 2026 Season: 1,556,100 concurrent viewers;
- LEC Summer 2026: 438,821 viewers;
- LCS 2026 Summer: 279,217 viewers;
- CBLOL 2026 Split 2: 205,784 viewers;
- LPL 2026 Split 3: 177,274 viewers;
- LCP 2026 Split 3: 153,174 viewers.
That order could still change. The CBLOL final takes place on October 10, meaning the Brazilian league still has one more chance to raise its peak.
Team Liquid vs LYON Final Draws the Largest Audience
The biggest audience of the split came in the title-deciding series. Team Liquid beat LYON 3-1 to claim its sixth LCS title and its first since Spring 2024.
Team Liquid and LYON qualified directly for the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage. Cloud9, the LCS' third representative, will begin its run in the Play-In Stage. For the full field, check out all teams qualified for LoL Worlds 2026.
