Into the Breach has recently made their mark on the esports scene as one of the up-and-coming teams to look out for. The UK-based organization recent venture at the Blast.tv Paris Major sent waves across the world. Since then, they have been taking constant steps towards solidifying their place in the world of CS esports.

A few days ago, the organisation announced the departure of CYPHER and volt. Both players were a crucial part of the team and helped the team in their Paris run. With two important pieces missing, ITB looks to bring in equally strong players in their places in order to continue their upward trajectory.

Welcoming Bymas and NEOFRAG

With an aim to create a stronger team, the organisation has brought in two new players to round out their roster, Bymas from MOUZ, and NeoFrag from OG.

Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, a Lithuanian 19-year-old, first made a name for himself by subbing in for FaZe Clan and later playing for MOUZ. He'll be looking to continue his strong performances alongside the rest of the ITB squad.

Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar, a Czech 22-year-old, first came into the spotlight with Sinner Esports, later being recruited by OG. With OG, NEOFRAG displayed amazing talent and was a crucial part of the team’s success. The new additions to Into the Breach brings in the much needed experience of competing on the big stage.

Sam Cook, CEO of Into the Breach, on the signings:

"In the wake of Volt and Cai leaving, we're welcoming two young players with Tier 1 experience to finalise our roster heading into IEM Cologne and CS2. We spent a great deal of time scouting, talking and ultimately concluding on NEOFRAG and Bymas - confident that they'll both align with our vision and fit the dynamic of the team. Our aim is to maintain our place in the top 15, continue our attendance of high-calibre tournaments and grow our legacy through CS2. I believe we've got the right team to do just that.”

Into the Breach - The Start, The Vision, The Major Run and more:

Founded by Sam Macedonia and Alex Fuller, Into the Breach first ventured into CS:GO in 2021. The vision for the organisation was to promote UK based talent and spread CS:GO roots in the UK. Something they double-downed on with the launch of ITB talent pipeline a few days ago. The organisation’s CS:GO journey had a successful start, winning multiple qualifier events. The team constantly competed in the B-Tier and C-tier events trying to make strides towards new heights.

The team continued their strong runs in 2022, but still could not crack into the top of CS:GO world. The team’s biggest assets were Coach Juve, manager Punico and player CYPHER. In 2023, Into the Breach rebuilt the roster, signing Thomas, rallen, volt CRUC1AL and resigning CYPHER and Juve. With the new roster, Into the Breach qualified for the Blast.tv Paris Major European RMR and placed third after Natus Vincere and fellow UK-based org Fnatic.

The major qualification as a legend over Sprout and defending champs Virtus Pro was a big win for the team. But Thomas and co. weren’t done yet. At the Blast.tv Paris Major legends stage the team took down Faze Clan, ENCE and later Fnatic to qualify for the champions stage. Unfortunately, the team fell to the eventual winners in the champions stage. The team also cracked the top 15 during this time and have been a top 30 team for 11 weeks.

With the new additions, The new Into the Breach Counter-Strike roster will be as follows:

  • Thomas "Thomas" Utting
  • Karol "rallen" Radowicz
  • Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel
  • Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras
  • Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar
  • Gustavo "Juve" Alexandre (Coach)

The team will debut at the EPL European Conference this week for a spot in EPL S18. The team will later be seen competing in IEM Cologne. Follow Into the Breach esports on Twitter for updates on all things ITB.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
