IEM Katowice 2025 has already set a new benchmark in Counter-Strike 2 viewership, surpassing the peak figures recorded during the 2024 edition of the tournament. According to Esports Charts, the group stage of this year’s event hit a staggering 1,003,678 peak viewers on February 3rd, 2025.

This milestone was reached during the MongolZ vs. GamerLegion and Liquid vs. MOUZ matchups, just hours before the highly anticipated clashes between NaVi vs. Team Spirit and Astralis vs. FURIA. This figure represents an increase of 31,366 viewers compared to last year’s Grand Final between FaZe Clan and Team Spirit, which reached 972,312 peak viewers.

Teams Driving the Viewership Surge

Among the most popular teams at IEM Katowice 2025, FURIA leads with an average viewership of 377,800, followed closely by NAVI at 356,900. The tournament has also seen significant engagement in terms of hours watched, with Team Spirit accumulating 4.4 million hours, making them the most-watched team so far. FaZe Clan follows closely with 4.1 million hours watched.

The rise in viewership could be attributed to multiple factors, including Valve’s recent VRS update, which placed Team Spirit at the No. 1 spot, and likely heightened interest in the tournament.

Bigger Numbers Expected as the Playoffs Begin

With the Play-In and Group Stage now concluded, IEM Katowice 2025 moves into its Playoffs stage at the iconic Spodek Arena, where six remaining teams will battle for the lion’s share of the $1 million prize pool. Given that previous Grand Finals have historically drawn even larger audiences, it is highly likely that this year’s record-breaking numbers will continue to rise.

As the competition heats up and the best teams in the world fight for glory, IEM Katowice 2025 is proving to be one of the most-watched events in CS2 history, reinforcing its status as one of esports’ most prestigious tournaments.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
