DM: "Playing Tournaments In Tier-Two Is Better Than Scrimming Tier One Teams"

DM: "Playing Tournaments In Tier-Two Is Better Than Scrimming Tier One Teams"

11 Mar, 2026, 03:22

Team Yandex has qualified to the playoffs for PGL Wallachia Season 7. The ended the group stage with a 3-1 score, beating out Parivision to make the cut.

Yandex is not playing with their full roster. Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin is standing in for the squad. After the game concluded, DM talked about playing against his former squad, how to beat Tinker late-game, and plans for his new team.

DM: "Falcons right now aren't in shape."

Team Falcons is back to the BLAST Slam.

After 14 months with Parivision, DM is no longer with the team. When discussing his feelings on playing his former teammates, Dorokhin revealed it's nothing personal. And all that mattered was doing well and gaining experience.

"[Parivision] are a really good team. So the best part about winning this series is we win against a really decent team. Because Falcons right now aren't in shape. But Parivision is in decent shape I would say, so just happy to win against good teams. So we get more team confidence and we can progress."

DM picked Largo in the decider game of the series. He proceeded to dominate with the hero, with a 9-3-18 score. Not super surprising considering how strong Largo is right now.

When asked why he didn't play more Largo, the offlaner revealed it wasn't really his choice, "I think this hero is full broken. The only reason I didn't play it before is it was banned every single game. This is the only game I get to play it."

First picking Largo is a great opening for any draft. Yandex did have to choose between the Frog Bard and Shadow Fiend though.

In the end, while both are strong, DM thinks either option is fine and there are no wrong answers to which one to take, "I think both heroes are really good. It's about how teams can use the heroes. I think we could use both of them at the same time."

DM: "Playing real games in tier-two is better than scrimming tier one teams."

Tinker in Dota 2

In Pubs, Tinker is seen as one of the ultimate smurf heroes. He is durable, comes with built-in global presence, and his damage is frankly obscene.

Despite the hero's many strengths, DM wasn't worried when playing against it in game two of the series.

"I think Tinker is not full late-game hero. I think it just gets strong on it's power spikes. Like full late game against a Slardar with Nullifier, I think it's not that easy to play Tinker. Because you can't just BKB and teleport out."

Pros are just built different I guess. After leaving Parivision DM has teamed up with his old coach Filipe "Astini" Ribeiro to form a new squad.  He shared his plans towards the team and revealed a surprising fact on how they practice.

"Our plan is to become a tier-one team. That's why we are starting in tier-two tournaments to get some practice. Because playing real games in tier-two is better than scrimming tier one teams."

Well, tier-two tournaments just got a whole harder for other teams. You can catch all the action of PGL Wallachia on their main channel.
