The BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 is set to ignite the esports scene in Copenhagen from July 29 to August 4. With 16 top-tier teams battling for six coveted spots in the BLAST Premier Fall Final, the stakes are higher than ever. Let's dive into the format, teams, schedule, prize pool, and everything you need to know about this thrilling event.

BLAST Premier Fall Groups Format

The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups of four. Each group will compete in a double-elimination format. The winner of each group secures a direct spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, while the runners-up will face each other in a knockout stage to determine the remaining two spots. The other ten teams that do not qualify will be relegated to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, where they will have yet another chance to fight for a spot in the Fall Final.

Spirit want to forget the bad run at the Esports World Cup and will be at full strength with their star players donk and magixx in Copenhagen, where they will face OG in their opening match.

Group B features the youthful GamerLegion roster making their LAN debut.

Group C is arguably the most stacked, with heavyweights FaZe Clan and G2 while Cloud9 looks to debut their.

The final group will see debut matches for Team Liquid's new signings, ultimate and jks and Esports World Cup winner Natus Vincere will meet BIG, who are set to debut with Rigon "⁠rigoN⁠" Gashi.

Tournament Schedule

The tournament kicks off on July 29th with the following opening matches:

  • Group A:
    • Spirit vs OG - 12:00 CEST
    • HEROIC vs Complexity - 14:30 CEST
  • Group B:
    • Vitality vs GamerLegion - 17:00 CEST
    • Astralis vs Falcons - 19:30 CEST

On July 30th, we will have the second round of matches for both groups, where LB Round 1 losers finish the event in 4th Place:

  • Group A
    • UB Final  12:00 CEST
    • LB Round 1  14:30 CEST
  • Group B
    • UB Final 17:00 CEST
    • LB Round 1 19:30 CEST

Group C and D debut on July 31st:

  • Group C:
    • FaZe vs Cloud9 - 12:00 CEST
    • G2 vs Ninjas in Pyjamas - 14:30 CEST
  • Group D:
    • Natus Vincere vs BIG - 17:00 CEST
    • Virtus.pro vs Liquid - 19:30 CEST

With their second rounds happening on August 1st:

  • Group C
    • UB Final  12:00 CEST
    • LB Round 1  14:30 CEST
  • Group D
    • UB Final 17:00 CEST
    • LB Round 1 19:30 CEST

The Lower Bracket Finals of all groups will happen on August 2nd, where winners go to the Grand Finals and losers finish the event in 3rd place:

  • Group A - 12:00 CEST
  • Group B - 14:30 CEST
  • Group C - 17:00 CEST
  • Group D - 19h30 CEST

The Group Grand Finals will happen on August 3rd and will define the "Group Winner", the loser goes to the Last Chance Qualification bracket:

  • Group A - 12:00 CEST
  • Group B - 14:30 CEST
  • Group C - 17:00 CEST
  • Group D - 19h30 CEST

The Last Chance Qualification matches, happening on August 4th, will define the "Playoff Winners" and the last two teams going directly to the Fall Final event.

  • LCQ Match 1 - 09:30 CEST
  • LCQ Match 2 - 14:40 CEST

BLAST Premier Fall Groups Prize Pool

The BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 boasts a substantial prize pool of $190,000, distributed as follows:

  • Group Winners:
    • Will receive $22,500 and direct qualification to the Fall Final.
  • Playoff Winners:
    • Will earn $12,500 and secure a spot in the Fall Final.
  • Playoff Losers:
    • Will receive $10,500 and be relegated to the Fall Showdown
  • 3rd Place Groups:
    • Will get $8,500 and move to the Fall Showdown.
  • 4th Place Groups:
    • Will earn $5,000 and also head to the Fall Showdown.
