The 2024 BetBoom Dacha series continues in Belgrade on August 24, where eight elite teams will battle for a hefty $500,000 prize pool. Four top-tier teams—MOUZ, Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, and HEROIC—have already secured their spots, while four more will fight their way in through the Play-In stage. Teams like 9z, Falcons, paiN, FURIA, Eternal Fire, BetBoom Team, Aurora, and 9Pandas will compete fiercely for those remaining slots.

The tournament follows a Double Elimination format, giving every team a chance to bounce back after a loss. All eyes will be on Belgrade to see which teams will rise to the challenge and claim victory on the main stage.

Play-in Stage

The first stage of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2 kicks off with the Play-In phase. Unlike the main event, this stage doesn’t feature traditional playoffs. Instead, teams will form groups, with the top two from each advancing directly to the main tournament. The stakes are high—only the group finalists move on, but it’s the winners who take home an additional $10,000 prize. It’s a tight race, where every match counts, as teams vie for both progression and extra Dineros.

Given the competitive nature of the Play-In stage, predicting which teams will secure the top slots is challenging. All the teams are evenly matched, and their advancement will hinge on their performance at the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2 Play-In. However, based on recent form, Falcons and paiN are expected to start strong. Falcons are likely to overcome 9z, while paiN should have the edge over BetBoom Team. Both teams demonstrated significant growth at IEM Cologne 2024, positioning them as favorites to secure the two tickets to the main stage in Group A.

Group B might seem more straightforward at first glance, with Eternal Fire and FURIA as the clear favorites. However, this group is far from predictable. Aurora and 9Pandas are formidable opponents who shouldn't be underestimated. While Eternal Fire and FURIA have the edge, Aurora and 9Pandas have the potential to disrupt expectations, making Group B a much closer contest than it appears.

Teams to advance to the main stage:

  • Group A: Falcons and 9z Team
  • Group B: FURIA and Eternal Fire

Main Stage top dogs

Despite their shocking exit at IEM Cologne 2024, Team Spirit remains the top contender for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2. While MOUZ is higher in the rankings, their recent inconsistency leaves them vulnerable, even against lower-ranked teams. However, MOUZ has a slight edge in this tournament format, as the main stage will be held without spectators – a setting where they've excelled earlier this year.

Team Spirit's current form is uncertain, but if they play to their potential, we might witness a thrilling rematch of the previous BetBoom Dacha Grand Final. In such a high-stakes scenario, anything can happen.

Moreover, Spirit’s leader Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov stated in an interview with HLTV that changes are unlikely before or after the Major, which somewhat proves their slip up in Cologne was a mere stumble on the road to glory.

I think changes in Spirit are unlikely to happen both before and after Shanghai. You always need to give it an adequate look. We have a very young team. The backbone of the team, in my view, is the IGL, AWP, and the star player. And this core has been playing together for only half a year, it's so little. Also, some players are young. So I think that changes are unlikely after Shanghai, no matter what happens, because most players here haven't reached their peak form. – chopper to HLTV

Star Power, Shaky Ground

The outlook for the remaining two invited teams—Virtus.pro and HEROIC—at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2 is uncertain. Virtus.pro is struggling with a prolonged slump, and it seems only a roster shake-up could turn things around. Despite their current form, they still have a chance to rebound and perform well in Belgrade.

HEROIC, on the other hand, had the potential to be a top contender, but their recent 0:2 loss to OG at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 raises concerns. While it's too soon to declare a downturn for HEROIC, a poor showing in Belgrade would be a significant warning sign. This tournament could be a crucial test for both teams as they strive to regain their footing.

With so much at stake, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Season 2 will be an unpredictable and thrilling event, where anything can happen and every team has something to prove so be sure to stay up to date with the latest updates from the event on Strafe.
