ZETA DIVISION have been crowned champions of the 2026 OWCS Midseason Championship after defeating Twisted Minds in a thrilling first‑to‑four Grand Final. Perhaps the most dominant Overwatch team of the season so far, ZETA enjoyed an impressive tournament run, winning five consecutive matches.

The Korean giants defeated Champions Clash winners Crazy Raccoon in their Group Stage opener, followed by Geekay Esports. In the playoffs, they secured flawless 3‑0 wins over Dallas Fuel and T1 before ultimately locking horns with EMEA's Twisted Minds in the Grand Final.

ZETA DIVISION Adds First International Title to Dominant 2026 Campaign

We're just halfway into the season, and ZETA has already won most of the tournaments they've played in. They kicked off the season with a triumphant performance in OWCS Korea Stage 1, followed by Asia Stage 1.

Then came the first international event of the season, the Champions Clash. While ZETA was among the favorites to win it, they were eliminated by Twisted Minds in the Lower Finals.

ZETA returned to top form in OWCS Korea Stage 2, entering the playoffs with an 8‑3 tally and dominating the bracket to emerge victorious. Now, after finally securing their first international Overwatch trophy, the team looks poised to take on the competition in Stage 3 and earn a spot at the World Finals.

Though ZETA DIVISION entered the tournament as favorites, Twisted Minds were not far behind. In fact, they had a similar path to the Grand Final, winning all their matches. This was reflected in their mentality and performance, as they rarely let the Korean side catch their breath.

The opening map saw the two teams go toe‑to‑toe on Busan, with ZETA closing it out. Twisted Minds were quick to respond, and the second map, Neon Junction, delivered chaotic action as the Saudi Arabian side managed to hold off ZETA's push for nearly four minutes on the final point. In the last two minutes, ZETA came within 4.5 meters of the point, but an Annihilation + Sound Barrier combo from Twisted Minds helped fend off the attackers.

As expected, Map 3 was another close affair. Both sides traded leads on Colosseo, but the final minute saw ZETA DIVISION come back from a trailing position to push the bot to an overtime victory.

Map 4 was perhaps Twisted Minds' strongest showing, as they took Suravasa 3‑1 despite a solid effort from ZETA. Continuing the back‑and‑forth trend, ZETA won Map 5. The Korean side clinched three points in their attacking half after an overtime push and held off Twisted Minds on the final turn of the third point with a crucial Graviton Surge + Pulse Bomb combo.

With a 3‑2 lead going into Map 6, Twisted Minds were on the back foot. ZETA capitalized on this momentum, delivering a dominant defensive display that prevented Twisted Minds from taking the second point. ZETA DIVISION then closed out the map with a confident attacking approach, emerging as champions of the 2026 Midseason Championship.

For his exceptional performance on Ana and Kiriko, ZETA DIVISION's support player, Shu, was crowned tournament MVP.

Maiden EWC Title Win for ZETA DIVISION

Apart from being one of the three major international OWCS tournaments of the season, the Midseason Championship also serves as the Overwatch event at the 2026 Esports World Cup.

A first‑place finish adds 1,000 points to ZETA's tally, propelling them to a top‑10 spot in the Club Championship Standings after Week 4. However, with just one more event left in the EWC, it's unlikely the organization will finish in a top position. Still, a title victory is remarkable and could earn them a significant share of the prize money.

The previous two editions of the Esports World Cup saw ZETA without a single title win. In EWC 2025, the organization finished at the bottom with 0 points. In the inaugural EWC in 2024, ZETA DIVISION managed only two podium finishes, ending up in 35th place.
