The VCT Pacific Stage 1 playoffs are on the horizon, offering the anticipation of a thrilling display of skill, strategic prowess, and heart-stopping moments. With the regular season drawing to a close on April 29th, six formidable teams, three from each group, have solidified their place in Valorant history, securing their passage to the playoffs.

From thrilling comebacks to dominant displays of prowess, each team has demonstrated their mettle in the crucible of competition, setting the stage for an electrifying postseason showdown.

Join us as we delve into the triumphs and trials of the VCT Pacific Stage 1 regular season, and embark on a preview of the playoffs, where the stakes are higher, the tension palpable, and the glory awaits those who dare to seize it.

Season Recap

The 11 teams of VCT Pacific were divided into two groups. Group Alpha with 5 teams and Group Omega with 6 teams respectively.

Group Alpha

Group Alpha was topped by Gen.G and Team Secret with 3 wins and 3 losses. Gen.G managed to clinch the top spot on round difference. This also means that Gen.G have advanced straight to the semifinals in the playoffs.

Third and final playoff spot from Group Alpha was claimed by T1 with 2 wins and 4 losses. Global Esports closely followed them, also securing 2 wins and 4 losses. But again, T1 edged them out on round difference.

Global Esports and Bleed Esports did not qualify for the Playoffs.

Group Omega

DRX topped Group Omega with a flawless 5 wins and 0 losses. To top it off, they only conceded 2 maps out of 12 played. This also means that DRX got a free bye to the Playoffs Semifinals.

The Korean Powerhouse were followed closely by Paper Rex and Talon Esports with 4 wins and 1 loss each.

Rex Regum Qeon, ZETA DIVISION, DetonatioN FocusMe did not qualify for the Playoffs.

The Playoffs

Format Run-down

  • The VCT Pacific Stage 1 Playoffs, taking place from May 3rd to May 12th, 2024, feature a hybrid-elimination bracket format.
  • The Knockout Round is single-elimination, while the Upper Bracket Semifinals onwards follow a double-elimination structure.
  • Matches, excluding the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, are best of 3, while the latter two are best of 5.
  • The top 3 teams from the playoffs will secure qualification for Masters Shanghai.

In the Knockout Round, Team Secret will take on T1, while Paper Rex will face off against Talon Esports. The winners of these matches will face Gen.G and DRX respectively.
