ASCENSION: The Path to the Top

Ascension is where top Challenger teams from each region battle for a coveted spot in the International Leagues. These tournaments serve as the ultimate proving grounds, with teams competing for promotion to the highest tier of VALORANT esports. The winners will earn the chance to qualify for global events like Masters and Champions and the opportunity to defend their spot in 2025.

Challengers

Challenger Leagues are the heart of VALORANT’s grassroots esports scene, offering aspiring pros a path to the big leagues. This year, more than 40 Challenger players were picked up by International League teams, with several teams making their way from Premier to Ascension.

The 2024 OFF//SEASON will see the introduction of new Challenger tournaments, bridging the gap between the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This is the perfect time for up-and-coming teams to prove their mettle and secure recognition during the critical free agency period.

Game Changers World Championship

The Game Changers World Championship returns to the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany, from November 8-17. This year, the tournament has expanded from 8 to 10 teams, reflecting the growing success and importance of the Game Changers initiative. The championship will showcase the best female and marginalized gender teams from around the world, competing for the title of Game Changers Champions.

With the expansion of the Game Changers program and the addition of a fourth International League, Riot Games continues to support diversity and inclusivity within the VALORANT esports scene. This year’s championship is set to be the most competitive and exciting yet, with more opportunities for teams to shine on the global stage.

Mixed-Gender Tournaments: Paving the Way for a Diverse Future

Later this fall, Riot Games will also introduce a series of mixed-gender tournaments during the OFF//SEASON. These tournaments are designed to promote diversity and inclusion within the VALORANT community, giving players of all genders the chance to compete together. This initiative aims to inspire the next generation of players and set a new standard for competitive integrity and inclusivity.
