VALORANT Patch 10.03: Minimap Rework and Agent Consistency Updates

With Masters Bangkok right around the corner, patch 10.03 of VALORANT promises to bring small changes to the game. This latest update aims to fix several bugs, bring consistency to the way slows interact with dashes for all agents, as well as bring a new rework to the minimap for increased clarity.

Due to a Riot holiday, VALORANT's patch 10.03 will arrive a day later than usual. This means the patch will go live on Wednesday, February 19th.

Changes to All Platforms

Agent Updates

  • All slows now consistently slow agent dashes across the board. This affects Skye, Harbor, and Chamber slows.

Bug Fixes

General

  • Fixed issues where explosive damaging utility could kill Sentinel trap abilities like Vyse’s Arc Rose from vastly outside its intended radius.

Gameplay Systems

  • Fixed an issue where you could not move/use the buy menu while the remake vote screen is displayed. This new voting widget also color corrects the confirmation button to be green and the decline button to be red.

Tracked Issues

  • There is a bug where the first person camera angle may be slightly offset from the expected player point of view while spectating another player.

Minimap rework

  • The minimap is receiving an updated with the goal of increasing gameplay clarity by making the minimap easier to read.

CONSOLE ONLY

SOCIAL UPDATES

  • Friends notes have been added. These can now be attached or edited on your Riot friends.
  • New 'search field' for friends list. Friends can now be filtered by player name or tag.
  • The friends list will now hide party invites if there are more than four active, so you can still see your friends. Clicking on ‘Show More’ will display any hidden invites.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Remake-ended matches in Competitive queue would display incorrect end-of-game screens after the game.
  • Fixed an issue where navigating players on the Leaderboard would sometimes highlight multiple players.

PC Only

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue on the tournament bracket screen where match score was occasionally displayed in black.
  • Fixed an issue where the tournament bracket was not properly centered on some ultrawide displays.

Ultimately, patch 10.03 of VALORANT will not introduce any major balance changes to the game outside of standardizing the way agent slows interact with dashes across the board. The list of bug fixes, however, along with the a brand new look for the minimap, are most welcome changes that will seek to make the game a more seamless experience for everyone.

So, load up to VALORANT and have a look at the new minimap for yourself as soon as patch 10.03 goes live on February 19th.
