The final leg of the 2026 VCT EMEA season approaches as Group Stage and Play-Ins for Stage 2 have now wrapped up. Heading into Playoffs, 8 teams remain to vie for 2 coveted spots to VALORANT Champions Shanghai, including 3 remaining Challenger teams. It’s the defining moment of the VCT EMEA 2026 season — in the end, who will come out ahead?

VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs Sees Rising Challenger Threats

Teams in Attendance

Format and Schedule

Playoffs will run from August 20 to 30. The first week will see 4 days of play, from Thursday to Sunday, followed by Friday, Saturday, and Sunday games the week after.

VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs: Teams, Format, Schedule and Where to Watch

The entire playoffs have been structured as a double-elimination bracket, all in Bo3 format. However, as per usual, the Lower Bracket Finals and Grand Finals will be Bo5.

6 teams will begin their journey in the Upper Bracket. The two final teams to qualify for Playoffs from Play-Ins will begin in the Lower Bracket, with no additional lives to fall back on.

Opening Fixtures

4 teams kick off the Playoffs bracket in VCT EMEA, that being: Team Liquid, FUT Esports, Team Vitality, and Enterprise Esports.

BBL Esports and Karmine Corp have surged on ahead to the Upper Bracket Semifinals thanks to their stellar performances in the Group Stage, finishing top of their respective groups.

2 of the 3 Challengers teams — Eintracht Frankfurt and Fire Flux Esports — will begin in the Lower Bracket and will have to win 4 straight series to qualify for Champions Shanghai.

Team Liquid vs FUT Esports [August 20 | 5 PM CET]

Team Liquid recovered nicely after a poor first series to finish second in Group Omega. Despite multiple member changes coming into this final stretch before Champions, Team Liquid hold firm as a strong contender to make their second international of the year following Santiago.

FUT Esports, meanwhile, has continued to hold a decent level following their strong showing in London and they'll be doubly eager to find repeat success with another international qualification.

This isn't an easy game to predict given how even the teams' skill levels are, but we'll give the edge to FUT Esports in this matchup given they've won the one and only face-off the two teams have had this year.

Team Vitality vs Enterprise Esports [August 20 | 8 PM CET]

Enterprise Esports continues to impress with their shrewd use of experienced talent and an offense spearheaded by one of the most electric young talents EMEA has seen in recent times. In the Play-Ins, Enterprise held a flawless run that included taking down names like Fnatic and Gentle Mates to earn their spot in this final berth.

But they're up against one of the most stacked rosters in EMEA when it comes to experience in the form of Team Vitality. And while we appreciate the run Enterprise has had and the names they've taken down, Team Vitality may be a bridge too far.

We're expecting a win for the French side with a little room for some surprises from the Challengers team.

Where to Watch?

VCT EMEA Stage 2 will kick off in Berlin and wrap up in Baladona, Spain for the finals weekend. The games will be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube in English, French, Spanish, and Turkish.
