A newly discovered bug in VALORANT, dubbed the "Crab Peek" by Bruno Silva, is taking the community by storm. This bug, which involves the latest agent, Tejo, allows teammates to perform an unexpectedly wide peek around corners. The result? A mix of hilarity and potential game-breaking implications.

How to Perform the Crab Peek

Executing the Crab Peek requires teamwork. One player must pick Tejo, while the other can choose any agent. Here’s how it works:

  1. Tejo uses his Stealth Drone—often referred to as "the crab"—and starts walking forward.
  2. The second player must stick to a nearby wall, crouch, and hold the S key.
  3. As long as they maintain this position, Tejo’s crab will push them forward, carrying them wide around the corner.
  4. To stop being carried, the player simply releases the S key.

The bug functions similarly to "Rocket Riding," a well-known trick from Fortnite, where players could ride projectiles to gain unique movement advantages.

Is the Crab Peek Overpowered?

While the Crab Peek is undeniably hilarious, it also raises competitive concerns. A key issue with players exploiting the bug is that they experience no recoil. In the video posted by Bruno, a Chamber player is seen scoping in with his ultimate while Crab Peeking—without any movement penalty affecting their aim.

This means that players can land perfect, precise shots while being propelled by Tejo’s crab. Given this advantage, Riot Games will likely take action soon to fix the bug.

The Crab Peek is the latest example of VALORANT’s ever-evolving sandbox of mechanics—some intentional, some not. While it provides plenty of laughs, its impact on competitive integrity makes it so that Riot needs to address it as soon as possible and fix the bug in the upcoming patches.
