Improved Quality of life changes for Mobile Gaming:

The biggest challenge for adapting any game to Mobile is the limited processing power available in a mobile phone as compared to a full-fledged computer system. Even dropping from a desktop to a laptop, a user has to sacrifice a big chunk of processing power. With mobile phones it drops further.

With Tencent at the helm of development, the game has concise menus and loadout screens, optimized for mobile phones. A completely repacked GUI for mobile phones.

Additionally, with Tencent’s previous experiences of adapting PC titles to mobiles, they have added multiple quality of life changes, including an MVP animation (From PUBG Mobile), better rank-up animation and more.

The game is not only a visual beauty but also includes support for 120 fps. For mobile gaming, 120 FPS is only available for a handful of devices and it's really difficult to implement. The game also supports Gyroscope, where the player can use the mobile phone’s gyroscope sensor to manipulate the crosshair.

In terms of features, Valorant mobile is definitely one of the best FPS games in development out there. Most of the gameplay VODs come from Youtuber AnakinGG. He has also posted a deathmatch VOD on his channel.

A replay system:

One of the biggest updates for Valorant Mobile though is a highlight and replay system with its launch.

The PC community has been asking Riot to implement a replay system for the PC version of the game. Unfortunately, Riot has had multiple hurdles towards implementing the system on PC.

For Mobile though, Tencent has implemented a similar system previously for their other titles and thus it was easier for them to replicate it for Valorant. At this point, there is no VOD available for the feature but as we get closer to the launch, we will get video footage.

Valorant Mobile - A Look ahead:

The mobile gaming market is currently the biggest gaming market in the world. The total valuation of the mobile gaming market is more than PC and console combined. For the Mobile Gaming market, Valorant will be the first of its kind, as there have been no previous adaptations for a successful tactical-FPS game on mobile.

Especially with Tencent leading the development, Valorant mobile might eclipse the PC version in near future. This won’t be the first time either, PUBG Mobile, a mobile version of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has been the more notable ‘PUBG’ game.

The release date for Valorant mobile is set for Q1 2024. With the gameplay VODs and successful beta testing, it seems like a real possibility.
