Valorant Mobile, the mobile app version of Riot Games’ immensely popular tactical FPS, has been shrouded in secrecy since its initial leaks on development two years ago. For the most part, the features and continued development of the game continues to be kept hush. However, playtests are beginning to go out. Moreover, a large portion of the playtesting is being done in China. With the China mobile app market being one of the largest in the world, it makes sense to have the initial playtests there, in a tested market with one of the largest concentrations of competition.

Recently however, leaks on new features are beginning to spill out to the public, and there is one that has the PC userbase eyeing.

Valorant Mobile’s latest feature- All Eyes On

Since its initial release in 2020, Valorant has captured the hearts of a massive fanbase, from Riot’s creative take on the tactical FPS genre, to the booming esports scene and massive following of many different personalities. Globally, it is considered one of the most thriving esports titles in the world, with League of Legends, another Riot Games IP, being also ranked amongst the top. With that said, at its base, the fans are the heart, with the gameplay consistently evolving to accommodate the ever-expanding playerbase. Features are consistently added (maps, agents, balance changes, and so forth). And so, Valorant Mobile’s latest leak, has fans salivating at the chance for this feature to come to the PC version as well.

MVP Animation. The next step in recognizing excellence in Valorant gameplay. Currently, Valorant showcases an MVP title and the player/agent briefly at the end of the match. In Valorant Mobile currently, an animation with play instead for a few seconds, revealing the MVP player in their own short, posing and showcasing an agent ability. Here is the relevant leak tweet that showcases Reyna as MVP.

A small touch that goes beyond what Riot has introduced thus far, adding extra flair to Valorant’s top performers.

In Conclusion

Valorant Mobile continues to undergo testing and trials, however, what has emerged thus far appears promising. Much like Wild Rift is to League of Legends or closer to home, PUBG Mobile is to PUBG, Valorant Mobile looks to be well on its way to finding a home for itself as a prominent leader of mobile gaming. Fans of Valorant’s more casual and quicker gamemodes especially will be extremely pleased with the prospect of booting up the mobile app for a quick win before going on with their day.

As time goes on, the mobile gaming industry only continues to grow and expand. With the technology in phones becoming increasingly impressive, some phones these days can even play AAA titles. The barriers between gaming on the go and on a powerful computer are ever diminishing. Perhaps it is only a matter of time before the industry overtakes the traditional gaming industry.
