The new RLCS Winter Major Champions have truly made their presence known this last week. The Karmine Corp Rocket League team has been making waves in the competitive gaming world with their impressive performance in the game for some time now. Now, after weeks of tough competitions, they’ve earned themselves a Major win. Composed of talented players who have shown remarkable skill and teamwork, the team has been consistently winning matches and tournaments, cementing their status as one of the top Rocket League teams in the world.

Led by some of the top players in the world, Karmine Corp has had an impressive run in recent months, with close calls in multiple Rocket League tournaments that have finally lead to a win. The team's members, Amine “itachi” Benayachi, Axel “vatira” Touret and Brice “ExoTiik” Bigeard, have been instrumental in their success, with their strong offensive and defensive plays.

The Rise of Karmine Corp: RLCS Winter Major Champions

History of the new RLCS Winter Major Champions

This isn’t the first time fans will have heard from Karmine Corp but it’s the first time they’ve seen themselves claim the top spot. The team has, in fact, been competing at the top level since 2021. While they may have consistently landed in the top 10 at both Majors and the World Championship, this is the first time they’ve fought their way to a win.

Their new found success must be credited at least in part to the significant roster changes in the last year. In fact, both French players only joined the org last October. Usually, it’s common for teams to see a little dip in their success rate while a new team finds their feet but that’s not the case for Karmine Corp! After placing 5th - 8th at the Spring Split Major back in December, they’ve placed 1st - 2nd in every 2023 tournament so far.

There’s still a long way to go before Worlds later this year but it seems that Karmine Corp are coming for Gen.G Mobil1 Racing’s crown!

How did Karmine Corp become RLCS Winter Major Champions?

While it might not have been completely expected for Karmine Corp to come out on top before the Major began, their dominance was felt pretty quickly. Going 3 - 0 (9 - 1) in their group landed them straight in the quarter-finals.

From there, it was simply a hop, skip and a jump to knock out G2 Esports, fellow group winners Team Liquid, and finally, top tier team FaZe Clan.

Karmine Corp didn’t make life easy for their fans during their journey to become the RLCS Winter Major champions. There were no clean runs, but they did manage to maintain a remarkably consistent 4 - 2 result in all of their playoff games, cementing their place as one of the best Rocket League teams in the world. Let’s see if they can keep it up heading into the Spring season!
