Riot Games has announced new missions offering free rewards in Teamfight Tactics (TFT). Starting with patch 19.1, players will be able to earn 500 Treasure Tokens by playing one game and receive a guaranteed random Mythic Tactician after playing 20 games. The announcement was made on Saturday, October 24, as compensation for the problems players have faced since the launch of Set 18.

Additional rewards will also be available to players who owned certain cosmetics before patch 18.7, including Mythic Medallions and an unrevealed Mythic Chibi.

Here's the full list of rewards announced by Riot and how to earn them:

  • 500 Treasure Tokens: Play one game of TFT.
  • One guaranteed random Mythic Tactician: Play 20 games of TFT.
  • Two Mythic Medallions: Own a Mythic Tactician or Mythic Arena before patch 18.7.
  • One unannounced Mythic Chibi: Own a Prestige Tactician before patch 18.7.

The first two rewards can be earned simply by playing, with no need to purchase a pass. The other rewards are reserved for players who met the previous cosmetic ownership requirements.

Importantly, the reward for completing 20 games is a random Mythic Tactician, not necessarily a Chibi. Riot has not yet revealed which cosmetics will be included in the reward pool.

When Will TFT's Free Reward Missions Be Available?

The missions will begin with TFT patch 19.1, currently scheduled for December 1, 2026. That means the announced rewards cannot be claimed yet.

Riot has also not disclosed when the missions will end or whether games played before the patch will count toward the objectives.

Why Is Riot Giving Away Free Rewards in TFT?

The rewards were announced following criticism of the August launch of Enchanted Wilds, when TFT switched to Unreal Engine. The migration brought performance issues, frame-rate drops, crashes, input delays, and cosmetics that were temporarily unavailable.

In an October 13 statement, Riot acknowledged that the experience following the migration had fallen short of expectations and apologized to players. To track its fixes, the company launched the Follow the Fix page, which lists issues that have been resolved and those still under investigation.

Despite the compensation, some players remain unhappy. In a Reddit discussion, players criticized the requirement to complete 20 games to earn a reward and the inability to choose their Mythic Tactician. Others complained that they still could not access cosmetics they had already paid for.

Riot says it will continue working to improve TFT's stability and restore cosmetics that have not yet been converted to the new engine. The developer also promised more information next week about Doughcat, the game's new client, and other updates.
