The VCT Americas Kickoff Champion Sentinels have decided to make changes ahead of their Madrid expedition. The fan-favorite organization has released Bryan “pANcada” Luna.

To fill in the sixth man position, they have announced the addition of Rahul “curry” Nemani. The addition not only fills in a vacant position in the squad but also adds another notable streamer to the family.

The World Champions Trudging Exit

pANcada joined Sentinels alongside Sacy shortly after LOUD’s Championship reign in 2022. The rumored reason behind the move was a better offer.

Unfortunately, the duo did not enjoy the same success as they did on LOUD. They struggled to keep up with the Americas League and fell to the bottom of the barrel.

Despite the immense talent, the roster did not seem to click, had role issues and failed to stay competitive.

For VCT 2024, Sentinels added johnqt as an IGL and Zellsis as the sixth man. During one of the off-season tournaments, Zellsis played with the squad in pANcada’s stead, and they popped off.

They continued experimenting with Zellsis, winning AFTV Valorant League beating Paper Rex, DRX and Team Liquid.

With the successful run during the off-season, it became quite clear that pANcada likely won’t play with the team. The suspicion only grew stronger when he was seen streaming from São Paulo before the start of VCT Americas Kickoff.

Sentinels went on to win the tournament without the former World Champion and it was the final straw. Today, after almost three months on the bench, they allow pANcada to explore his options (without buyout).

The Streaming Giant

With an empty sixth man spot, Sentinels sought another big streaming giant in NA, curry.

The player turned successful streamer played with Cloud9 and almost won the Red Bull Home Ground #4.

curry is amongst the multiple high profile streamers in North America signed with Sentinels. The addition not only adds a really strong Valorant player capable of playing multiple roles, but also a streamer capable of creating content and driving numbers for the organization.

With the changes, the Sentinels 2024 squad is as follows:
